The new version of TRAKON towed autocannon assembly. Can accommodate guns from 7.62 mm to 30 mm. The new version added radar, E/O and solar panels as APU. I guess it'd be useful for reinforcing austere positions fast.

That's a very interesting design. First time solar panel has been integrated to a towed autocannon I think.

According to the CEO of Baykar, there are countries who want to order the Kizilelma, while it isn't available for order yet. And they plan to let it take off and land on the TCG Anadolu in 2 years. TB3 will fly this year and also enter serial production at the end of this year.

According to Turan Oguz, the Hürjet flight control computer was made in Malaysia by TAI's office located there. They recruited local engineers to do it. A same thing is happening at other Turkish defence companies like Aselsan opening foreign offices and recruiting local engineers to develop products such as the EO gimbal MEROPS.

I wouldn't even count them as a source, it's from some untrustworthy Greek news sites and I don't need to remind you that most of their claims are baseless. According to some of their previous claims, Turkey secretly holds nuclear bombs and tests them underground.

Here's a little tip my fella @sequ :

It's Turkish defence news monitoring 101: Never trust any Greek claims ever. I've been watching the developments as long as I can remember and never have I ever seen that they have proven to be right.

There's a huge ship scrapping yard in Aliağa which has scrapped Royal Navy ships like the HMS Ark Royal before so the only likelihood I see of this baseless as usual claim is this.

, two sources familiar with the negotiations have told Middle East Eye.

The sources said Turkey is in need of frigates that have air defence capabilities as it will soon retire its G-class frigates that are over 40 years old.

The sources said that Ankara needs to assemble a naval force that consists of multiple frigates to accompany its aircraft carrier and amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu, which will also be delivered to the Turkish Navy later this year.

“You would have to get one frigate for the front, and the sides, at least three of them are needed for sure,” one of the sources said. “We need a quick solution, a gap filler until our national programs catch up with our own ships.”

The British type 23’s are larger than Turkey’s Istanbul-class frigates and they have more range in the open sea.

The sources said the negotiations on the purchase of the ships are still underway and they cannot put a final price tag, but they said the estimated cost for each ship would be around $25-30m.

“Once they are delivered, the upgrades and the modernization of command and control systems would take at least 18 months to two years,” the source added.
