RR doesnt even have high thrust turbofan in their pipeline......it's not that easy you know....
sorry for late reply.

but RR has huge knowledge base regarding turbofan in the world. they can easily develop but need funding. due to COVID they have suffered massive loss.

RR slowly turning into a giant Assembly base. all major components producing in Japan/USA/Europe.

They have introduced a prototype engine for Tempest (uk's 6th gen fighter program) designated as Orpheus, although no specification revealed about it yet. As far as testing go, it could last for more than 5 years at minimum.

RR would welcome additional funding for sure, but most likely in exchange for the license to buy/use the resulting engine. They will not share the design details with anyone. And any profit gain from the sales of this engine could be split. But then again, it could hardly be called 100% localized right?

CEO of TEI said the following:

"It's not the 35000lb thrust level that will challenge us in MMU's engine. We are confident that we will reach this level. There are some new technologies that will challenge us in MMU engine such as Converging Diverging nozzle technology that we are currently working on. Since the MMU engine is a new generation engine, it must be stealth"

And:

"The TF6000 is actually a technological preparation for the MMU's engine. When we increase the radius of the TF6000 by 15 cm, we will have reached the level of 35000lb thrust"

With a inlet diameter of around ~60 cm, adding 15cm to its radius would mean an engine with ~90 cm inlet diameter providing 35000lb thrust! Very similar to the XF-9 diameter and thrust figure!

SAHA EXPO DAILY: Do you work with TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute?

Prof. Dr. Mahmut F. AKŞİT: Yes, TÜBİTAK is also involved as well as our subsidiary companies (GÜR METAL and Varzene). We have a large material engineering team in our R&D Department. We have a Material Process Department of its own. Under their coordination, we developed both single crystal blade material and alloys, such as the superalloy “Inconel 718, 718 Plus, 738” in Türkiye, together with the TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute team and our subsidiaries. But there are more special materials with higher quality and higher resilience, such as those used in discs, and we are currently working on them.

More turbofan engine development from Turkiye by TEI and universities:

TEI signed contracts with Sabancı University under the project named “Development of Fan Inner Casing System from Composite Materials for the Turbofan Engines”

Step by step the gasturbine ecosystem gets bigger and bigger:

"With the motto of "National brake for the national engine", we are testing the first national turboshaft engine of our country, TEI-TS1400, in our brake test cell, which we have commissioned with the work of TEI engineers and technicians!"

This is interesting. Looks like Turkey has finally had enough of America/NATO and decided to activate S-400. That probably means no major platform sales to Turkey for a while from America. And at present time, the Turkish 5th gen aircraft is still a long way from happening. I do wonder what they intend to do to fill the gap.

Meh, its just a regular statement by the MoD to remind someone that they have the S-400. Don't look too much into it.

And as for filling in the gap, there is Özgur modernization with MURAD AESA radar for the F-16 ready to be serially produced, Kizilelma-B and -C variants which have supersonic capability and an armed Hürjet is also on the table.

As for foreign options, TurAF is looking at Typhoons.
