SAHA Expo started today. DT has a great edition about it with various interesting interviews:

Part of the interview with the CEO of TEI:

SAHA EXPO DAILY: Can you give us a date for the first test run? (TF6000)
Prof. Dr. Mahmut F. AKŞİT: With such large engines, manufacturing the first prototype especially takes a significant amount of time because you need to write CNC codes for individual models of all parts and test sample pieces. You also prepare molds when necessary. You can proceed to manufacture actual materials after validating that the software processes everything at the desired size. It takes quite a while to do this for hundreds of parts. Manufacturing engineering is also very important here. It normally takes at least two or three years. We are currently trying to fit the whole process into one year.

Why the boycott?
We have no official conformation. A forum member with questionable "resources" made a fuss and every inexperienced gullable on that forum went crazy over the rumour and spread it even more. It is still a possibility when dealing with a country like the U.S.; but the guy who started this rumour has never even been proven to be right with his previous claims. And even if it were to be true, do you really think that the US would provide the engines for an immensely important, major 5th generation fighter while embargoing the engines of a relatively unimportant trainer?

Imo, post #2,465 should be deleted.
