I have long hypothesized that everything Trump is doing is now (Russia, Ukraine, Canada, and Mexico) is to prepare for a grand showdown with China. He is deliberately being ambiguous about China until he could force his allies in line, whilst pulling Russia out of China’s orbit. Of course, this is what he and his MAGA team idealises. It is unclear how successful he would be in the end.

Yoiu do not force allies in line with humiliations, lies and insults … so either he has a strange understanding of putting an alliance together or serves purely egoistic goals.

Only for them to forget that China has a huge internal market it can cater to.

There's only so much humiliation a man can take before they snap.

Regardless of what flowery words they wanna use, the mineral deal was a humiliation. Having Zelensky come in to praise how good the deal is for Ukraine is also, public humiliation.

I'm glad Zelensky stood up for himself.

In my opinion, any peace deal that would come out of this wouldn't last. Not when it's borne out of national humiliation and forced on Ukraine. The only way for a long-lasting peace is for both Ukrainians and Russians to get tired of fighting and coming to an agreement on terms that they both can swallow.
It's a humiliation but it's Ukraine that is getting wrecked daily not America.

So when you come into the halls of power, the hall of the current supreme superpower in this planet, in America, you better show some respect and good attitude.
Of course you can also ignore everything and play the tough man act, but don't cry later when America doesn't send help

Trump is an idiot yes, Trump however is also President of the most powerful, in power projection terms, country in Earth. That's the difference between Zelensky and Macron/Starmer. They went with the appropriate attitude but still held their ground, they didn't give in. Contrast that with Zelensky who brought a wrecking ball and tried to embarrass (not that he needs any help tbh..) Trump in front of the entire American people.

If you know Trump, you know he will hold a big grudge against Zelensky. IMO he is a goner. Next on the line is that former commander I think who lives in Britain, he will be the one who will replace him

To be fair Zelensky actually show the world what the Trump administration is really made of. It gives the US adversaries into the mind set of what the Trump administration are thinking and how they approach geopolitics. It will be an easy game for Putin or Xi to check mate them.

Indeed. That's the reason why I earlier made a post where I specifically said I believe there is a window of strategic opportunity opening for reunification.

Calm down your tone ... this was just a staged trap to offend and ambush him with lies, more lies and stupid provocations! One must not like Zelensky nor his policy, but that was a well prepared drama.

And I can only say it again, the USA have have offended many allies and partners: Anyone who doesn't come, bend the knee and kiss the ring will be ironed out! As if that's strength? ... but as I said, from the point of view that he is a Russian puppet, it all makes sense.

Nothing staged in that. That was real as it gets. Zelensky could have shut his mouth but he constantly interrupted Trump and insulted the American administration in the Oval Office of all places including calling the American Vice President ‘bitch’ in Russian.

Trump is an American nationalist. He is a New York real estate businessman. Everything is transactional to him. He doesn’t care about allies because he doesn’t believe in that alliance system. If America win, that’s great. All the friends and allies talk means nothing to him.

This war is a proxy clash between US and Russia. Ukraine was just the theatre for that clash. The Americans have seen it can’t defeat Russia and now abandoning ship. The Ukraine project will come to an end soon.

Yeah. Even when Trudeau did dumb shit like leak details of private discussions Xi still smiled and talked in a polite manner. Trump might’ve pimp slapped him across the room.

Allies (?)

The end of the cold war in Europe was clear:

- We got all of Germany for free (which cost you millions of lives to get to Berlin) and thus we all avoid the problem of a Germany as a sovereign country and in exchange NATO will not advance even an inch towards the east.

- Okay, deal, the Poles and the Czechs had already expressed their concern to me.

(we must recognize the cunning of the reasoning)

Ah thank you. Had actually forgotten example #223 of Canada being US puppet.

See, that's what I am talking. Xi doesn't give a shit, you play tough act now, he will politely talk to you, smile and wave, but bet you when he opens the tv nowadays and sees US wanting to annex Canada and Trudeau panicking, he has a huge grin on his face.
