I'm saying American nuclear force hasnt been maintained for 35 years, they have no idea how many still work and they cant find enough people who still know how to build Sentinel, or nukes for that matter.

The last part isnt from me, its from the head of their nuclear force

That last part is often underestimated.
You don't build something for 30+ years, you think "well, we have all the documentation, it's easy".
Common engineering problems:
- Some change wasn't properly documented and now no one knows why this wire is here.
- The company that made this control board went out of business 10 years ago, or outsourced everything to China, which we can't do for nuclear missiles...
- No one makes these IC's anymore, because it's all integrated onto 1 MCU, but now we have to retest every facet of the functionality because it's nuclear missiles
- We don't have these kinds of circuit board designers anymore because it's mostly outsourced to China
- The company that made these rivets closed down, etc.

Trump is the American Gorbachev with 99% accuracy. However, the US won't have its Russian Federation as they are not a civilization state. No, the US is not even a traditional nation.
That analogy works even better when you remember when Gorbachev announced perestroika, the Warsaw Pact leaders responded to it the same way Europe currently is to Trump.

Just like the Warsaw Pact countries became more communist than the USSR Europe has become more globohomo Zionist than America.

Trump orders all Biden-era US attorneys to be fired: 'We must clean house immediately'

President Donald Trump directed the Justice Department to fire all U.S. attorneys left over from the Biden administration.

"We must "clean house" IMMEDIATELY, and restore confidence," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform." America’s Golden Age must have a fair Justice System - THAT BEGINS TODAY!"

You aren't making any peace without including one of the combatants of said war in the peace talks.

Betting line on American economic depression by end of 2026?

Also, America is rapidly heading towards a Suez Crisis moment where they realize they really don't have the power and influence they thought they did.

At my facility we have some serious high end scientific instruments valued at $1M or so from the 1980s that were kept alive by 3rd party suppliers souping them up to modern software and electronics standards. Most of these 3rd party guys were retirees from the company that originally built them that subsequently discontinued them in the 1990s and got acquired by some megacorp in the 2000s and now even the documentation left is like some scans of yellow pages from 1985.

One vendor went out of business in 2021 because the owner was this 80 year old guy who got tired of working through COVID. 6 months later the power supply (apparently updated in 2003) goes down.

Instrument doesn't turn on. The wiring is both complicated and completely unlabeled. None of our engineers want to touch it. What if in the course of fixing it, we screw up on one of the 100s of unlabeled wires and cause a meltdown upon startup again? Thing is still sitting here as a huge paperweight.

Utter madness…
His reversal of American policy makes America seem mad, but his idea makes a lot of sense by itself.

1. Ukraine did fuck up; it should have realized that it's a Slavic nation next to Russia so turning against Russia will be nothing but pain and stupidity. The lowliest kind of people are those who fight against their own blood; Ukraine deserves to be ended, no mercy.

2. Trump realizes this is a war that the West cannot win. The longer it drags out, the more it will drain American and Western resources that should be dedicated to the tech war against China. The longer it drags out, the more total Russia's victory will be and the worse the final lines will be drawn, so he needs to take the pain and end it now... if Putin will allow it.

3. There will inevitably be some warming of relations between Russia and the US, (then the EU as they slowly accept defeat), which will be some relief from the nonstop Sino-Russian entwinement over these last 2 years that is terribly horribly bad for any American/Western future attempt to squeeze China (or Russia).

However, all this might be too little too late. Russia likely already sees that it can get whatever it wants in negotiation or keep taking it for free and the bonds formed between Russia and China will be extremely difficult to cut/reduce given both countries have seen what their combined powers do against the West. Another problem is that Trump can't get around the incredible loss of confidence this will cause in America's leadership of the West, which is exacerbated by his attacks on them whether it be policy threats, tariffs or direct annexation. That contributor to the problem is entirely self-inflicted.
