The War in the Ukraine

BTR-82A and BMD-4M are fully amphibious and have no problem crossing a river without a bridge. That's why Russian military command considered these vehicles more useful than main battle tanks. Of course, logistics trucks will need bridges to cross a river.

BMP's are amphibious.

But it won't help if riverbanks are too high.

Just looking at the Snake Island scenario, I don't see Russia providing any higher quality information to back up their claims either.
Capturing Snake Island doesn't make much sense for Ukraine, and without a real navy, neither landing on Snake Island nor capturing it would make much sense for Ukraine. I don't think Ukraine really has any plans to capture Snake Island, if anything, for propaganda purposes, and a similar effect could be achieved by constantly bombing the island (and indeed has been achieved)
However, Russia is forced to pay a continuous price for defending Snake Island, and the capture of Snake Island has far more symbolic than tactical value for Russia.

To be fair to the Russian film industry, compared to the rest of the Russian industry, the Russian film industry, especially the level of CG, is definitely not below its Chinese counterparts. Over the years Russia has provided us with many war films with stunning images, and I feel sorry for you if you really missed them.
Ukraine is looking for empty spaces to attack. it make sense they will attack Snake Island. Ukraine only occupy places from where Russian voluntary withdraw.
. Russian can show missile launches. they dont need to hide airbase or missile launchers as they are confident on air defense in area. so there is less need to create videos that are mostly associated with a particular drone that is only reasonable export product of a particular nation.
The vehicles from North presumably are now entering from the South. This highly mobile operation where Russia is probing each village to find out pro Russian population. moving air defence together with columns.

Of course, if I were Russian commander I cruise missile every power plant in Ukraine and send Ukrainians back to the dark ages. No fuel, no heat, no electricity, no running water, no modern agriculture. Millions of Ukrainians would starve but it is war and war is ugly.

Yes same. It was way back though. Not sure if I can still find the images to compare.
I've seen one of those pictures before, early in the war, reported as an attack on a river crossing near Kiev.
And leaves are clever CGI of Ukrainians I assume? Because leaves on the trees around Kyiv in February/March would be as interesting as Rasputica in the middle of May. But in this thread everything's possible. I mean not impossible but strange.
