The War in the Ukraine

I just realised whats happened, and what is the target of the USA .

They disabled the bridges over the Dniper, the target of this wasn't to restrict the arrival of reinfocement, but the oposite, the slow down the withdrawal of them.

As soon as the reinfocement arrived to the Southern offensive, they started the attack in the North.

Now, there is no free reserve to quickly cover the hole, so they have a good playground in the north to do whatever they wish.

Ultimatedly, the Russians will get back the area, but the USA could achive one or several of the next objectives:
1. Increase the losses of the Russians
2. Distrupt the rebuilding of the russian controled areas
3. increase the cost of the war for the Russian economy.

Troop reinforcements are really just troop transfers. The paths for troop transfers become fewer towards winter. Many of these routes, which are becoming fewer, are now also being destroyed. The momentum on the Russian side is lost.

In the wintry trench warfare, the morale of the Russian soldiers is put to a very severe test. If larger troop units surrender, the effects could be unexpectedly positive and prevent a lot of bloodshed.

Well, we'll know for sure what's going on there in a few hours.
How much POW's is this going to be? A few thousand? This could be the largest surrender outside of Mariupol if Russia couldn't get their forces out in time.

Interesting, how you came to this condclusion ?
Wintertime means shorter days, with low temperature.

Means the party, with more aircraft, higher techincal capability will have an edge
Additionaly, the frozen ground could support more tank, and making reinforcements by hand become very hard in wintertime.

At the same time, the Ukrainan side will need more food and heating means for the soldiers in the trenches, and the heating makes it easy to spot the from high altitide raisonance .

And if the re is snow cover then to spot a vehicle/people become an easy task.

Seems like the 5D chess move "stupid" offensive by Ukraine did work out in their favor after all. Fully liberating Donbass and Luhansk without a declaration of War gets further and further away every day. Putin really should've just committed fully from the start instead of this clown show that is currently happening, I don't think the West would've sanctioned any harder if they went for an actual war instead of what we have right now.
