The War in the Ukraine

Anyone with a brain knows that a country that spent the entire summer trying to take out a single bridge (and failing), lacks the capability of a broad offensive against entrenched positions against air superiority.

I'm not going to link them, but there are videos posted of Ukrainian soldiers advancing across an open steppe getting blasted away. Videos of Ukrainian corpses being washed up on the banks of a river.

The few tanks or APCs they have are recent Polish/western donated ones, we all know what happened to all the ones they had before the war.

Sounds like much of what is being discussed here sounds aligns with this story.

The Ukrainian government has declared a media blackout for “operational secrecy”. So even the western media is now reporting that things cannot be verified and are just simply quoting random soldiers.
This paragraph says it all

The news blackout is part of the hybrid war Ukraine is now waging against Moscow, its main military spokeswoman, Captain Natalia Humeniuk, told The Times.
“We have an information front line as well as the military front line,” she said. “The information front line that is advanced by political forces is very different from the advances according to military tactics.”

Lol I guess winning on twitter doesn't count as winning on the battlefield.

It is also related to the nature of the conflict. In Georgia the soldiers did not fight to the death and the government ordered a withdraw from South Ossetia and Abkhazia and ended the war. In Ukraine Zelensky will never negotiate and will fight to the last man, woman, or child. The nature of the war in Ukraine is very different from the nature of the war in Georgia. So of course the losses on both sides in Ukraine is much higher than in Georgia.
You are new here apparently as you are trying to debate with people who resorts to "Per Capita", a tactic long used against anything that is inconvenient to the west. ;). These people are not here to debate, but to troll only.

hahaha
It reminded me of when I was little, I heard stories about the Viet Cong shooting down American helicopters with slingshots.

In this region, the Ukrainians are now on the defensive. The 20th Brigade and part of the VDV took the initiative after Russian artillery blasted a hole in the front line. Right now, the Russians are playing pincers against Posad-Pokrovskoye.

According to pro-Ukraine journalists, Ukraine would be committing about 15,000 troops in this offensive, about 8-12 Brigades, using all its reserves. Some estimate that the losses would have exceeded 3,000.

One of the biggest problems is the lack of armored vehicles and other transport vehicles, with the AFU forcing troops to take cover behind tanks to cross open fields, leaving them at the mercy of Russian artillery and aviation. There are a bunch of videos that show entire AFU companies under fire from artillery and aviation, guided by drones or by Spetnaz behind the lines of contact.

Recently it was seen that the AFU would be using school buses accompanying tanks so the infantry would not pass through the open fields slowly, which would attract fire, destroying not only the infantry but the tanks.

On this front, the T-90Ms are already operating. It seems that Russia will develop an offensive at this point, taking advantage of the fact that the AFU is stagnant or retreating in a minimally orderly way in the north.

Rybar update:

Andreevsky Bridgehead is getting squeezed and relentlessly bombed from the air, Kostroma is back in Russian hand. It seems AFU reestablished one of the three destroyed pontoon bridges across the Ingulets destroyed two days ago, only to be destroyed by Russian Aerospace Forces a second time.
