That arrow to the west of the bridgehead. The Russians actually managed to force a successful crossing of the Ingulets and gained a bridgehead on the Ukrainian side.
Seems like the geography really favors the Russians in this area, since the Ukrainian crossing is in a bulge with a river that naturally encircles on 3 sides.

I think the only way the Ukrainians had a remote chance of succeeding in the offensive is if they broke through more than a token few kilometers on a broad front, at multiple points along this river. That way they can reduce the density of artillery fire, but even if they managed to route the Russian defenders it would still have been tough to drive all the way to the Dnieper getting hit from the air.

Really surprised they decided to deploy the HIMARS so close to the front, only about 20km from the river.

Would be good to know where on the front this is happening, but interesting look nevertheless:

Ukrainian source, showing AFU making use of Dutch YPR-765 (development of M113) during the Kherson counterattack. Interesting that they are wearing blue helmets.

Sometime later, Russians managed to capture one

Sometime even later, Russians are towing a YPR-765, possibly the same one as above, away from the front line using a T-90M.

Besides the fact that AFU are losing APC on the battlefield, this tell us T-90M are at the Kherson front.

It also points towards the Russians not being under any severe pressure, nor is there any tank shortage. If they can waste a T90M to drag around a shitty museum tier apc for display purposes.

The battle for Kherson: the situation on the Andreevsky site
as of 11.00 September 3

Attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to restore the crossings near Andreevka, Lozovoye and Bolshoy Artakovo were unsuccessful: the grouping on the southern bank of the Ingulets remained cut off from supply lines.

After the transfer of reinforcements to Bereznegovatoe, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to release the remnants of the group on the opposite bank.

Leaving about 40 pieces of equipment in reserve northeast of Bereznegovatoy, the remaining units launched a counteroffensive through Ternovka and the Russian crossing to the south coast. By morning, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to cross to the other side of the river and start fighting for Blagodatovka.

To date, it has not been possible to connect with the remnants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine blocked on the southern coast, battles are going on for Blagodatovka.

Throughout the night, the Russian Aerospace Forces, units of the missile forces and artillery continued to inflict fire damage on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine squeezed into the boiler on the southern bank of the Ingulets.
It's interesting that Russians are breaking out so much air strike in that pocket over the last 2 days, including the really expensive stuff like Su-34 dropping FAB-500. I'm guessing this means while Ukrainian air defense in prepared positions including stockpiles of MANPADS are enough of a threat to aviation that RuAF can't just bomb with impunity, but when AFU advance their formations lack organic field air defense and they become easy picking from the air.

That reinforcement to Bereznegovatoe ended up not trying to rebuild their original three crossings but instead went to the Russian Ternivka bridgehead instead.

and i noticed that those accounts posting "44 Himars destroyed" images taken from RuMOD briefing conveniently NOT posting the additional context from the RUMoD telegram channel.

I get it that the purpose of such are just for mockery but i feel it's dishonest just to post image without the context behind it.

What do you expect? It's literally information war and people would certainly twist the truth to suit their own agenda

Wonder if we will see redditors make jokes about this one like they did with the videos of the russian tanks getting towed.

Seem the russians are confident enough around Kherson if they are even sending Il-76 into the airport

The defeat of the Russian tank T-72B3 with UAV TB - 2 Bayraktar - Kherson region.
It doesn't look like Bayraktar. Some other drone seems to target the target with a laser, and the attack was done by a rocket (not MAM-L).
