Miami has started a guns 4 Ukraine programme. This is a great idea and should be made nationwide and mandatory for all Americans. Anyone who opposes it is a Putin supporter, why would an American need a gun more than a Ukrainian who is fighting off hordes of evil Russians?

It's a bit wierd that they're asking for shotguns as well, being that those are illegal to use in war. Never mind that, slava Ukraine!
I was reading stuff written by soldiers who actually do combat. Every ounce of weight that you carry should have a purpose. For this reason, many don't even want to carry a pistol. For the same weight, a couple of grenades has a much bigger impact. A shotgun is even worse in terms of weight to usefulness. Asides from some very specialized uses, no soldier going to battle is issued one. This seems like a scam to part the guns from the gullible.

Pretty sure shotguns have never been banned.

RWA reported that there were two prongs of Ukrainian assaults, one in the north of Kherson, which consisted of 2 infantry battalions and an unknown number of tanks, and one to the west, which consisted of infantry and a tank company. I think they're merely attempting localized offensives right now, and will commit if they make a breakthrough. If they dont deliver on this, they'll lose face and support, but most importantly, they need a tactical victory before winter. I would take any reports from the ground with a grain of salt right now, unless it comes from the defense ministries of both sides.

In addition to thousands of guns, drones, missiles, artillery platforms and rocket launchers, Washington has supplied Kiev with large amounts of ammo, including up to 806,000 155mm howitzer rounds. The stocks of the latter munitions are running “uncomfortably low,” an unnamed Pentagon official told the Journal.
According to an industry official reached by the Journal, it can take suppliers up to 18 months to manufacture new ammunition from the time orders are placed, while more sophisticated weapons, such as missiles, are likely to take much longer

So the US has already shipped 806,000 155mm shells to Ukraine. Obviously, the MIC going to have a huge boom over the next several years but it looks like Ukraine will probably start running low on war materials. Sooner or later, the US will have to make a choice to either strip their own available stockpiles or to cease supplying Ukraine because they need to restock their own including Europe.

Archival footage of the aviation of Ukraine. Before the encirclement, several Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopters managed to deliver ammunition and food to Azovstal in Mariupol. Some of the helicopters were later shot down.
