And now one photo op from my hero Olaf intended to scare out the Russian Bear!!!
Olaf inspect the Flackpanzer Gepard 1A2 he is sending in Ukraine

In response to Gepard in Ukraine, Russia is manufacture Mi-28NM and Ka-52M which have very good radars and long range missiles range 15 km which should enable them to bust up Gepard from a safe distance.

If a helicopter in Ukraine is high enough to shoot 15km, it's lifespan will be very short.

The proliferation of SAM's and MANPAD's make altitude suicide.

You don't really need to be high to fire at that range, as shown by the multiple videos of Ka-52 using Vikrhs from 10km away still pretty low to the ground. Also both the Vikrhs and Izd 305 outrange most MANPAD's in Ukraines hands anyway.

In other news:

Seems no one is going to be donating NASAMS to Ukraine but actually they'll have to pay for them and wait for them to be built and delivered in 2024

T-80BV's around Kherson. It is undated, though.

At this point, both sides are lobbing unguided rockets essentially like artillery. If they felt they could get any closer/higher to allow precision targeting, than they would.
