The War in the Ukraine

Some random pro-Russian twitter account wrote that it was friendly fire if I remember it well. Of course everyone here agreed with that because it's normal that Ukrainians release videos from TB2 showing how they shoot down their own helis. In the latter of the said video the buildings on Snake Island are still standing so it seems like it was filmed before Ukrainian aircraft destroyed everything there...
What happend Snake Island surely hurts as hell...
bet your a ghost of kyiv fan to, this wasnt the 1st or last time they wanted to pretend to be Russians striking Russians as ukrainians......They were even using 2014 footage and videos.

They are waiting for the ground to harden.
They launched their offensive when the ground was frozen.
Now the ground is mud, the ground will start to harden late May early June. Until then the Russians are limited to pushes along roads.
If it's true, doesn't this kinda prove they expected rapid victory (before the mud season kicks in)?

How do people know that it is a friendly fire incident though?
I'm leaning towards it being a friendly fire incident too. The Russian MoD statement yesterday mentioned that Ukrainian helicopters were taken out by Onyx missiles. That correlates with what we saw on the video - fast projectile, large warhead to cause a big explosion. However according to them none of the Ukrainian helicopters taken out made it to Snake Island, all were taken out in transit.

So! Two quick links.

The first is to put to bed (completely and utterly) the claims about the strike on the Makarov:

She seems to steam just fine. The claim about the Makarov was utterly nonsense from the beginning.

As for the status of the ground and General Mud, take a look at this tweet. Ignore the stupidity over the washing machine. That doesn't matter. What does is the ground. It is beginning to dry, but if you pay attention to the ground above the piles of dirt, it's very muddy still. It will be another two weeks if the rains back off before the ground is firm enough for 'maneuver' warfare.
