By another you mean this one I suppose?

That is from days ago, there is a new shot down of a Su-35/Su-30 recently

The Ukrainians assure that they have shot it down, while some Russian sources speak of friendly fire... In any case, both options spell disaster for the Russians, who just a few days ago lost an Su-34... Two of its most modern combat aircraft shot down in less than a week

We just hope that the Russian MoD doesn't come out that shooting down their own planes is a "goodwill gesture"...

Not anymore than Ukraine shooting down its own planes over Kiev early in the war or firing artillery on its own soldiers.

Sucks for them they barely have any air force left to shoot down or air defence to shoot them down with.

The Ukrainians claimed it was a Su-35 shot down by them

Let's just hope for the best that it was actually an Ukrainian Su-27 since losing 2 planes in a row seems pretty embarrassing for Russian side

two planes crash is not a disaster considering they didnot fall down from bad engineering. as long pilots fine they will replace it. they are getting realistic training in high tempo condition with layered air defense environment that may or may not have cross training before.
Russian aviation engineering, pilot skills, maintenance has shown amazing result when you consider post covid environment where humans are not optimum over long period.

I feel like peoples getting used to total air superiority in modern war because in the past 20 years, US and NATO are only pick a fight with the enemy that have no mean to shoot back.

Even in Gulf War, US and their Coliation have plenty of downed aircraft and that against Iraq whom not getting any support from "international communities" or have a good military to begin with like Ukraine.

Also the first casualty for US in Gulf War was downed F/A-18 pilot.

It truly is a disaster, one which makes the day they ran out of all their precision weapons pale in comparison.
This is a clear sign that the Russians will be unable to continue the SMO.

of all russian held territories, Kherson stands the best chance of being recaptured by Ukraine. with sufficient fire power Ukraine could conceivably destroy the two bridges Russia holds over the Dniepr in order to cut its lines of communications.
so judging by the recent news it appears the Ukrainians have begun to do what i said they should do, cut Russians off in kherson by blowing up the bridges. makes sense to go that route since they have effective long range fire.
