Wow, NASAMs, what an upgrade...guess they are indeed getting AMRAAMs, but without the planes to launch them.

It has major advantage tho compared to BUk (tho shorter range) namely Active Radar Homing. It's gonna be a biatch to suppress as in theory it can take any data for initial targeting, then missile is launched which automatically goes "mad dog" means that it will lock to the first contact it detects. It offers multiple target engagement feature as the "target channels" are as many as the number of missiles.

Now onto practice. Indonesia acquired NASAMS sometime ago.. and i were happen to know the person who was in charge in purchase of the system. She said that the scheme i just mentioned above is impractical.. as NASAMS needs AN/MPQ-64 as a part of its killchain. I wonder if that radar do datalinking job to the AMRAAM or just like any other Radars, which doesnt really make sense as Active Radar Homing does not really need specific radar to aim it. One can do S-band radar like Sampson which controls X/Ka Band seeker for Aster.

Mindboggling but well it's kinda awkward for such flexible system to have exactly same weaknesses as Patriots, S-300's and Buk/M1/M2

Thing is, unless NATO goes a step up and feeds it targeting data from an E-3(is that even possible?), wouldn't still expose the launchers because as you say, they are ARH, but the short ranges puts them at risk of Kh-31P's?.

On the other hand, if they send the american version, which isn't self-propelled, that would expose them to russian drones and satellites while they set up shop, wouldn't it?

I was thinking something similar. Can they be guided by E3 or Global Hawk?

I don't think the mounting is an issue. They can probably jury rig them onto a pickup and turn it into an AA technical. That's what they did with Brimstone and that thing is normally Air to Surface.

I feel like Bayrakthar could have made a ton of money selling drones to Russia. But I guess they chose to back the weak losing side and ends up losing a ton of money instead. Stupid business decision. Now that the Motor Sich plant is no longer functional I wonder where they will even get engines from to make a new drone?

Well we all know what that means … the Ukrainians will probably make another attack on Snake Island in the next few weeks.

Then Russia should bomb Ukraine's oil depot so Ukraine don't have any fuel left to fly their TB2. In modern society oil is really everything.

And the first video of the PzH2000 howitzer in the frontlines of Ukraine

I think a self propelled howitzer this big has very big RCS consider it is all metal. Mi-28NM's mast mounted radar should pick it up from 40 km away. Leaves can't save it.
