Judging by the flight time, that must’ve been quite a distance. The pilot seems like he managed to land in a somewhat controlled manner after taking a hit? Curious that they prefer to do that over ejection.First video of a LMM Martlet missile v.s Ka52 Alligator helicopter.
Ukrainian paratrooper style!!!!
Wow, NASAMs, what an upgrade...guess they are indeed getting AMRAAMs, but without the planes to launch them.
Well we all know what that means … the Ukrainians will probably make another attack on Snake Island in the next few weeks.
No, the Russians bombed it into oblivion multiple times (last missile strike was a week or so ago).Is this oil refinery still functional?
I have literally never seen a Ka52 fly like that in combat. They go low and fast and always in pairs. Are we sure this isn’t another Ukrainian friendly fire?First video of a LMM Martlet missile v.s Ka52 Alligator helicopter.

Thing is, unless NATO goes a step up and feeds it targeting data from an E-3(is that even possible?), wouldn't still expose the launchers because as you say, they are ARH, but the short ranges puts them at risk of Kh-31P's?.It has major advantage tho compared to BUk (tho shorter range) namely Active Radar Homing. It's gonna be a biatch to suppress as in theory it can take any data for initial targeting, then missile is launched which automatically goes "mad dog" means that it will lock to the first contact it detects. It offers multiple target engagement feature as the "target channels" are as many as the number of missiles.
Now onto practice. Indonesia acquired NASAMS sometime ago.. and i were happen to know the person who was in charge in purchase of the system. She said that the scheme i just mentioned above is impractical.. as NASAMS needs AN/MPQ-64 as a part of its killchain. I wonder if that radar do datalinking job to the AMRAAM or just like any other Radars, which doesnt really make sense as Active Radar Homing does not really need specific radar to aim it. One can do S-band radar like Sampson which controls X/Ka Band seeker for Aster.
Mindboggling but well it's kinda awkward for such flexible system to have exactly same weaknesses as Patriots, S-300's and Buk/M1/M2
I was thinking something similar. Can they be guided by E3 or Global Hawk?Thing is, unless NATO goes a step up and feeds it targeting data from an E-3(is that even possible?), wouldn't still expose the launchers because as you say, they are ARH, but the short ranges puts them at risk of Kh-31P's?.
On the other hand, if they send the american version, which isn't self-propelled, that would expose them to russian drones and satellites while they set up shop, wouldn't it?
