In case you need to be reminded of the bloody nature of infantry combat. There's a new video of an Ukrainian soldier attacking Russian position and getting into a hand to hand melee with an Asian looking Russian soldier with the two of them wrestling over a knife. Russian eventually got the upper hand and stabbed the Ukrainian to death, recorded in first person and evidentially the footage was recovered by the Russian side as trophy.

The Russian in question: he's a Siberian Yakut. Apparently he made it out fine with a bit of his ear missing after the encounter:

The Ukrainian soldier seems pretty well equipped, he was using a M4 carbine with glass and had a gopro on his helmet.

There is still plenty of fighting left. 2025 we will likely see major battles of Pokrovsk,Kupyansk, Liman. Battle of Chasiv Yar, Velyka Novosilka is still on going. Regarding negotiations the Trump administration is all over the place. One minute they want negotiations, the next they want a freeze of the conflict which Russia has said they are vehemently against. There will likely be negotiations but it will fail when Washington tries to force a frozen conflict deal on Russia. Russia will say no and try to determine the end war on the battlefield.

Just saw this video, it's over 7 minutes long and looks like it was straight out of a movie, very bloody and brutal. Reminds me of the stabbing scene from Saving Private Ryan.

Looks like the Russian soldier got off the first shot from a concealed position in a small building and unclear if the AFU soldier was injured from the ambush. AFU soldier seems experienced and well equipped, and responded by suppressing fire before throwing grenade in small building. Russian soldier very lucky to have exited the building before the grenade went off, which let to the hand to hand knife fight once the two soldiers met outside.

Russian soldier is savage, seemed like AFU soldier was on top initially but somehow positions got reversed. Lots of biting by the Russian soldier (lots of blood on both and even on ground) before AFU soldier was finished off by stabbings. AFU soldier also talked a lot during the fighting, not sure what he was saying.

What's with the situation where one lone Ukrainian finds and fight one lone Russian? I thought soldiers are suppose to operate in pairs as a minimum, in three man sticks preferable.

The dude yells, "Kaza! Kaza! I hate you, you bitch faggot." Maybe Kaza was in his pair and he peaced out and let this guy go 1v1 when the bullets flew? I don't imagine Kaza's the guy he's fighting cus when would they have exchanged names?
