There is still no evidence of North Korean troops being used in combat and some of you are fantasising about them being used directly against a NATO country, LOL. Very active imaginations.
FWIW, I suspect the North Koreans are mostly used in support functions. A lot of soldiers are not needed on the frontline but are used in logistics and similar roles. Getting help there would offload that burden and allow Russia to deploy more of its own troops to the front. It would also limit the North Koreans' exposure to danger.
NK may be a dictatorship but public opinion still matters. I doubt people there would approve of large numbers of their soldiers dying in some foreign war far away. Keeping them off the frontlines would help that.
