It's becoming hard to look at these without thinking about WH40K style looted vehicles prepared for the ''WAAAGH!''.

It's not practical to do modifications like that in the long term but It's okay in time of war. Ukraine war will surely make some change on next generations of armored vehicles, active protections could certainly diminish the pile of scrap added.

The IFV Marder 1A3 is a modification of 1989. Technical information is on the channel. The IFV Marder 1A3 is already in the Russian army. As a result of the strike of the FPV drone "Vandal", the IFV Marder 1A3 was damaged, the extent of the damage is unclear. Imo they are trading defense against fpvs for far poorer situational awareness. How do you even expect to see where you're driving with all that metal in the way. Leaves vehicles far more vulnerable to infantry anti tank/mines.

Poor situational awareness isn't what's killing them most of the time anyway, so it's obvious why crews are making these tradeoffs. It's because they work.

My guess and looking at a number of catastrophic exploding vehicles, especially with the Ukrainians in the Kursk region, is that they never learned from War Thunder.

Never fully load up your AFV with ammunition.


Village of Berestki is captured by no less...the 114th Brigade again. At the Kurakhovko direction.

And people complain about the carrousels, yikes. At least the risk in the T tanks is mitigated by not keeping ammo outside of it.
