The War in the Ukraine

That is very a unbelievable story because how big it is. It's pretty much almost a regiment gone. Also the Moscow Times isn't even from Russia but from the Netherlands.
The Russian army is advancing, and the advancing troops usually lose more soldiers than the defending troops.

А U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Russia was able to intercept two out of eight missiles fired by Ukraine and that the strike was at an ammunition supply point.

American missiles will hit the Kursk region.
Lol I understand you're high on thinking it makes any difference at all, but come down to earth. The thing American missiles is above all hitting is Iskanders and Kh101. Few munitions make it to the front, and NATO is low on munitions to begin with.

It's a negotiation tactic for Trump to say "look we gave Ukraine our all and they still failed". Nothing more. Russia isn't gonna nuke anyone over 5 shot down scud equivalents and NATO won't bring their 100% for Ukraine.

Putin was stupid to threaten nuclear war over such a small "red line". You should never write bigger cheques with your mouth than you can actually cash in. What is he going to do now? Tactically nuke Ramstein? It was a dumb ultimatum which was going to collapse at some point anyway.

The logical choice would be to arm the West's enemies in the MENA region, but Putin should have said so in the beginning instead of hyping some nonsense about nuclear weapons. And that's likely all that Russia will do in response to this (very minor) move by the West. Nothing much will fundamentally change, which is why Putin's hysterical rhetoric was a self-own.

A nation should have very few redlines which you are absolutely ready to back up if someone crosses them. A good example would be China's threat to encircle/invade Taiwan if Taipei were to announce independence. Everyone understands that China is serious. Putin by contrast clowned himself by pretending WW3 was going to break out over Ukraine hitting an ammo depot in Bryansk region. He not only looks weak to the West but also to his own domestic audience. Hopes he learn from this stupid mistake. Redlines should be few and realistic.

Too few missiles given by the grandfather. Ukraine needs 5000 ATACMS to make an impact considering they don't use nukes. Red head, give Ukraine the missiles.

And what he is serious? What if Russia use tactical nukes in Ukraine? Then now is the for the West to show that they are not bluffing? That they are willing to sacrifice their cities and their electored in a full blown nuclear war for..... Zelinsky?

These politicians are dumb. Putin annexed a huge chunk of Ukraine and they still think he isn't being serious. What do they need? For all of us to be blown up to kingdom come? The nihilism of these people is disturbing.

You are asking for more ATACMS missiles than Uncle Sam has ever produced.

The other concern was the limited number of ATACMS missiles produced—just over 4,000, of which around 500 were used in combat and the majority of initial production retired. That means ATACMS donated to Ukraine could dent the U.S. Army’s and Marine Corp’s current stockpile.

If true this is another Russian "gamechanger". If they managed to use it with the UMPK in the Su-24M and Su-25SM this means they likely changed SVP-24 Gefest to be able to operate with UMPK bombs. That vastly increases the amount of platforms of the Russians which can use these bombs where previously they were constrained to the Su-34.

Russia have like a hundred Su-24M aircraft with SVP-24 Gefest alone.

Notably the SVP-24 Gefest is also used in some upgraded Tu-22M3 and Tu-95SM aircraft. This could mean we could start seeing those aircraft being used as UMPK carriers soon. The Tu-22M3 could for example carry a lot more FAB-1500 with UMPK (it can carry eight regular FAB-1500) than the Su-34 which can only carry a single one in the central hardpoint. These would also be much cheaper than the Kh-32 missiles which is what they are being used for right now.

The type of explosive used in OFZAB-500 is also likely lethal against infantry, light armored vehicles, and personnel in trenches. Should have a major impact on the battlefield in Ukraine.

Su-24s have been flinging UPMKs at Ukraine for something like half a year already, nothing new there. Haven't seen any images or footage of Su-25s with UPMKs yet.

I'm fairly certain the bomb requires some sort of modification done to the aircraft, not just the SVP-24. There was a pattern of just a few Su-34s doing UPMK runs to start with, ramping up over time. Same pattern when the Su-24s started doing it. To me it feels like they are taking them back to a workshop to do some sort of work. Pretty sure it isn't a major mod, my guess would be wiring to an interface in the cockpit, allowing pilots to program the bomb with coordinates.

I doubt this. Lots of other Russian weapons can be programed with target coordinates.
The interface probably already exists. What might need to be changed is something in weapons system either control hardware or, way more likely, software. The SVP-24 Gefest has a GLONASS navigation system and can input target coordinates for the GLONASS guided Kh-31, Kh-59MK, or the KAB-500S. It could be as simple as assistance to guide the pilot on how to release the weapon.
