It is kind of lame since the Russians can just continue advancing around the flood zone. And when the flooding recedes they will just capture the vacant area.

I could see a point in flooding strategies but for that you need to have certain specific conditions which are not the case here.

Footage has been published of the evacuation of a Ukrainian armored vehicle, the American-made Cougar H, by Russian repair units. The Cougar H armored vehicle was damaged and abandoned in the Kursk region of Russia by Ukrainian units. The Cougar H MRAP has been produced by the American company Force Protection Inc since 2002; there are 4x4 and 6x6 versions. These combat vehicles were first used in Iraq by the US Marine Corps sapper units. According to open data, Ukraine has received about 30 Cougar MRAP armored vehicles. The standard armament of the Cougar H is a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun. The Cougar H armored vehicle is equipped with anti-mine protection capable of withstanding an explosion of 14 kg of TNT under any wheel or 7 kg of TNT under the hull. The Cougar 4x4 weighs from 14 to 17 tons, it can carry up to 6 people, including a crew of 2.

that was exactly what I was thinking. I was literally thinking - this is the same playbook that Chiang pulled in WW2 and it failed.

Not the case here. European NATO isn't a neutral party to the conflict.
It will just be considered escalation by the NATO side by Russia and treated accordingly. Putin already said what would happen to NATO troops if they entered Ukraine. And the Russians have acted on that multiple times.

It will just be considered by Russia as yet another move by NATO to push its borders eastwards. Russia has escalation dominance and no reason to accept this kind of "deal".

I mean zelensky is the new Chaing Kai Shek, think about it, they both egotistical dumbasses who wasted their best soldiers at meatgrinders such as Shanghai 1937, and Bakhmut 2022. The only difference is that Cash my Check is a bald cuck who unironicly cucks to Japan to the point that the Warlord of Manchuria and his own generals have to kidnap him to fight Japan while zelensky is a cuck who has to resort to clowning around inorder to get western aid and is pretty much a puppet of the west.
