200 cheap drones is probably near nothing, or at least not so substantial even with how Ukrainian civil industry has collapsed. And if you send them above the front wheres a shit ton of AD, they just get insta destroyed without possibly even taking down 1 Russian soldier with them.

By sending them over the border, if they were succesful, it might tug on Russia's priority to send away more AD from the front. Might.

Russians have already been using incendiaries and thermobarics on the FPV and quadcopter drop drones.

"Russian troops continue to destroy American weapons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Note that Ukrainian Buks are Franken-SAMs, using Sparrows or Standard missiles modified for Buk guidance radar. The description sounds like two Buk launchers were taken out, with a shared transport and command vehicle.

Ukrainian FPV drones have started using incendiary mixtures, the first data about them appeared on August 18 on the Soledar front line. It is unknown what models of drones and what suspension for spraying the mixture are used. Initially, it was assumed that a substance similar to napalm was sprayed, but at the moment, the composition of the incendiary mixture is not reported. It is known that the flammable mixture is difficult to extinguish.

The M577 is armed with a 7.62 mm machine gun and is designed to control troops at the operational-tactical level and can also be used to transport the wounded. It consists of a 700g thermite device with an ignition time of 3 to 4 seconds. The active combustion time is about 2 minutes. After that, the molten metal continues to work. The combustion temperature of the material reaches 2,500°C and can be used against shelters, armored vehicles and metal equipment. Depending on the level of armor, the device can melt the surface of the vehicle and hit the crew. It works more reliably when dropped from low altitudes. The unit cost is only $12.
