The War in the Ukraine

I would not expect such an aircraft to operate beyond the Dnieper. So it would be strange if they were training people how to operate it in some place like Poltava. Unless for historic reasons that is where the training for such purposes is conducted in Ukraine.

Clear footage of the Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system intercepting a Ukrainian 277mm M31A1 guided rocket, and a US-made HIMARS MLRS has been released. The video of the interception of the M142 HIMARS MLRS rocket was filmed in the Kursk region of Russia. The M31A1 rocket is a difficult target for air defense, since the RCS of the M31A1 projectile is presumably about 0.07 square meters, and it also has a high flight speed. The air defense crew must make a decision and intercept the target within a short period of time. The M31A1 HIMARS MLRS rocket was detected at a range of about 10 km and shot down at a range of 6,200 meters. Two 57E6 Pantsir-S1 air defense missiles were needed to intercept the target.

Reddit does not recognize this military training facility staffed by active duty military members as a military facility. Is this indicative of western public opinion in general?
It's not just Reddit, it seems the angle of Western media is that this is somehow an atrocity despite obviously being a legitimate military target.

I doubt the very same journalists and platforms would give this angle if 50+ Al Qassem members were bombed by Israel - despite being almost perfectly equivalent.

Heavily digitized censorship of some sections. 810rd Marine Brigade pulled another nasty ambush on a Ukrainian column. Kursk oblast.

For academic review of the most recent Iskander strikes against HIMARS systems. This series of strikes takes out two launchers. Having UAVs with thermal imaging helps, enabling spotting of heat sources within a forest and useful for kill verification. HIMARS launchers often try to hide in forests.

Compilation of three strikes. One Iskander strike took out a hanger with three MLRS, two of which might be Uragan and the third, possible a HIMARS launcher but not a definite. The second is a FAB strike on a hanger. Hanger strikes are fruitful as they contain a number of vehicles underneath. Third is a FAB strike on the Yuzhnodonbasskaya mine; this may have killed a number of personnel from the AFU 72nd Brigade.

X-38ML missile hit at a Ukrainian crossing in the Oskol River in the Kupyansk sector. The bridge has been taken out before and the Ukrainians rebuilt it and now it's taken out again.

That was one missile that got taken by two air defense missiles. Nice footage.

SAM missile deprivation and the large area of that conflict give single missile attack a chance to go through but i think that low single digit attacks are probably intercepted by well defended position. It's probably the case for both sides in the conflict.

Massive attacks is the one that go all the way to target and do the job.

faster response time i guess, the system seems to prove itself well to handle time critical targets for the Russians.

Gross overkill honestly. I don't know why Russians can't use Tornado-S to produce a similar effect to HIMARS GMLRS ammunition.

On the other hand, I remember seeing this last week.

Seems like even Western pundits are admitting that "gradually, then suddenly" can happen. I remember seeing such words in this thread.
