Maybe it comes down to Western propaganda often describing air defence as some kind of protection for civilians - against Russian terror in particular - while most of the time they will put civilian lives in greater danger?

Well if these things happened here and there, and we got apologetic statements from the Ukrainian side claiming these were accidents, or that they would start investigations into these matters etc., then your argument would have merit, but since the exact opposite happens, your argument does not carry weight. You are not being objective. Sure you can go to Google maps and draw lines and establish an analysis in a vacuum, but unfortunately for you, these things don't happen in a vacuum. You can't change the fact that there is a clear pattern of going after civilians here. Not only that, but US, EU, Ukrainian politicians, openly brag about using this strategy to achieve their political goals in Russia and elsewhere. Western think tanks don't even shy away from publishing reports on how to destabilize countries, that hinge on this very strategy. These reports literally talk about utilizing sanctions to cause famine, shelling civilians, using IEDs in populated areas to demoralize the population etc. You completely brush all of aside, and because of that, your argument falls flat and the bias becomes clear.
False. There are absolutely zero documented cases of Russians going after civilians and/or bragging about it to the media. If that were the case, it would be all over the news 24/7 for as long as we live. It would basically be the new Holocaust. As a replacement, what we do see, is the "Everyone does it" argument as a form of escape from accountability.

Who is this drivel of a first paragraph meant to address? I asked you directly what you meant, if the air defense either didn't work and Ukraine deliberately hit civilians, or the air defense did work at protecting the military targets and civilians were hit by interception. Please learn reading comprehension.
So the air defense did indeed work, which is contrary to the claims in your previous post.
If this was, as per your new claim, the work of air defenses protecting military targets, there was no terrorism committed here. For the future, you should avoid becoming confused and writing conflicting narratives into your posts.
