Russia is after the AFU Colonel that shot down Russia's modern AWACS

Russia has admitted that the Ukrainian military shot down an A-50U reconnaissance aircraft A Moscow court has arrested in absentia AFU Colonel Mykola Dzyaman on charges of terrorist act. According to the investigation, the commander of the 138th anti-aircraft missile brigade of the AFU on February 23 ordered his subordinates to shoot down a plane of the Russian Aerospace Forces. "The above actions led to the death of 10 crew members and the destruction of the airplane," the IC said in a statement. Dzyaman was put on the federal wanted list. The A-50U is a modernized version of the A-50 reconnaissance aircraft. Its cost exceeds $300 million. The equipment on such planes can simultaneously track several dozen targets in the sky and on the ground. This was the second reconnaissance plane that was shot down by the AFU. The first one was shot down in mid-January over the Sea of Azov.

Finally admitting what we all knew with the exception of Russian supporters.

Lol, they are still pushing the narrative of a shotdown on Azov after Fighterbomber jumped the gun without proper confirmation?

Must be with the 4 Il-76 they shot down around Hostomel.

You should point out the original source doesn't say type, this is NEXTA(and you) running with it. Might as well be about the Il-76 with POWs killed by Ukraine and its just about the Russian crew, given that the situation surrounding the claim don't really make sense unless Ukraine is running around with long range SAMs +300km that somehow they only used once and never again while their soldiers get hammered daily by glide bombs

I can't find anything on Russian news regarding this incident. Anyone got a link? Some Ukrainian news agencies point to "Russian bloggers" making these claims, but Russian bloggers are not a reliable source. We need a reliable source like TASS or RT or something of this calibre clearly demonstrating the fact that there is a court case against this person and outlining the scope of the charges.

Allegedly three NATO or American officers killed on the Iskander->M270 strike, based on Ukrainian moles and partisans. However it's common knowledge if NATO equipment is destroyed, like Krab, DANA, AS-90, PZH2000 or CAESAR, it will likely involve casualties of the host nation operating it. So no surprise there.

But the Russian article does not state the plane in question was an A-50. It states that the plane was not intended for military operations and stresses that the person charged was fully aware of that. the only way I can think of that makes that possible, is if the Ukrainians were informed in advance, just like they were when they shot down that Il-76 that was transporting Ukrainian POWs to prepare for a POW exchange. The Ukrainian sources seem to be copying that article and adding A-50 to it.

You need to be absolutely 100% sure of the info you share or at least put some doubt in the post by adding allegedly or possibly or could be so the forum isn't mislead, just until we make sure the plane in question was in fact an A-50.

Also you'd think they would check the specs of the A-50 and see it has a crew of 15 people, if we are charitable with nafoid brosints and give them the benefit of the doubt, that they are inferring the type based on the amount of casualties reported in the article. But unless it was an undercrewed plane(and they have evidence of it), seems a bit off, to say the least.

But they know their dim fans don't give a shit about it and will run with it
