The war of incompetent commanders:

Reports that the head of the Ukrainian Air Force has been fired.

It has been reported that Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, has resigned and Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, who previously commanded the Northern Fleet, has been appointed in his place.

Rumours about this personnel decision have been circulating for a long time, especially against the background of the recent resignation of the Commander of the Black Sea Fleet.

These high-profile reshuffles come against the backdrop of complete paralysis of the fleet leadership, which is unable both to provide the ship's personnel with sufficient defence against new threats and to change approaches to tactics.

CNN claims Russia is producing 3 times more shells than the EU and the US, with the Russians producing around 250.000 artillery rounds per month while the US is only expected to break 100.000 by 2025.


Probably needs to add what the Russians gets from other sources on top of that.

Ukraine sent a detachment of special forces GUR Artan for a raid in Belgorod region, likely for publicity purposes. The whole detachment got the entire Russian treatment --- FABed, Iskandered, Lanceted, artilleries --- with ugly results. Iskander struck the French CAESAR, two other SPGs destroyed, five tanks destroyed, one MLRS destroyed, more than 10 IFVs and pickups with heavy machine guns destroyed and allegedly about 70 soldiers killed or seriously wounded.


Ukrainian MiG-29 allegedly shot down by Su-35S. I am not sure what the burning piano is about, but I assume it was a stunt that the now deceased pilot pulled for social media previously.


Russians hauling trophy tanks from Avdeyevka. This particular tank doesn't look touched at all.


Kharkhiv 'Airport' Hotel hit. Hotels like these are used to house foreign advisers, instructors and mercenaries.


Another FAB strike.


Ukraine sent drones to attack Taganrog base where two A-50s are located. Slight damage ensued, but previously the two A-50s have been moved to a different location.


Correction from previous. Two, not one, Ukrainian navy boats were hit by Lancets. Deep and rangey into Ukrainian territory.



Ukrainian drone team tracked to their hideout, which is hit by a LMUR missile fired from a helicopter. (Product 305). Note this Russian tactic of hunting Ukrainian drone teams, but usually the strikes are by Krasnopol.

Impossible to say. Originally they had like ~50 units of s-300 alone(both ps in service and ps/pt in reserve), +1(2?)S-300V.
Each S-300ps unit is a ~dozen of different vehicles, S-300V units are equal to several air defense 300PS units together (different organization under Soviet army air defense and its descendants).
Overall, we're talking about well over half a thousand vehicles ins s-300 units alone.
Given the stream of hits, repairs, breakdowns, new deliveries etc - the only sure way to judge is literally to look at the state of air war.

Footage of a Russian Iskander tactical missile striking a Ukrainian missile, presumably a Patriot air defense system, near Pokrovsk. Initially it was reported that the strike was carried out on the Ukrainian S-300PS air defense system, but experts, including Ukrainian ones, reported that as a result of the analysis, the affected object can be identified as MIM-104 Patriot. The conclusions are reportedly based on the door shape of MAN KAT1 8x8 trucks, which are used as chassis for German Patriot air defense missile launchers. Retractable supports characteristic of the Patriot air defense system were also seen on the wreckage. It is still impossible to say for sure what was hit, but three vehicles were destroyed on the march, presumably two air defense missile launchers and a radar for illuminating and targeting missiles.

Black Sea fleet Chief sacked and did not resign like some think
I guess when you lose a third of the fleet to a nation with no navy you're likely not going to keep your position.

I feel sorry for the next guy why would any Russian admiral want to accept the position of Chief of black sea fleet.

There's not much Russia can do about suicidal jetskies using Western ISR short of starting WW3. This is one of the few areas where Ukraine can inflict significant damage at low cost to itself.

RQ-4 should be a relative straightforward target to hit. Iran did and all the US could to about it is get pissy.
