Interesting observations. Would AI help with the UGV comms problem?
Sure. But it will also need to come in a small package with the power and weight of approximately automotive size, rather than data center size.

And right now the best self driving cars can maybe navigate a simple 2D structure without endangering itself or others, with clear signal lights, GPS access, nobody trying to stop them, nobody trying to shoot them, being able to use headlights, no need for IFF, etc.

If you saw how easy it is for Waymo to get vandalized you'll realize that AI powered UGV is going to be a long ways off.

You might get mini tanks that link up to a main tank for field battles, but at that point why not UAVs which have superior line of sight?

So where did he get this info? Insane but according to Singapore Defense Minister US F-35's have been used to Identify Russian IADS
He doesn't say F-35's have flown over Ukraine but that is the assertion he is making.

I've always had this thought in the back of my mind that at night certain types of US aircraft may be quickly overflying Ukraine airspace but it seems everybody is in the mood to disclose secret operations NATO is doing inside Ukraine including the leaked German calls. I wonder what else will be disclosed soon.

Been happening for two years. Wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t push the envelope more than publicly admitted.

I dont think the U.S. would send an aircraft that self-ejects its pilots to Ukraine, I dont think the western world would be happy if an oopsie happened when the aircraft was flying in Ukraine and I doubt asking the Russians politely that they will give it back. If there is any weakness the aircraft has, it's a stupidly low flight ceiling which would give adversary aircrafts a nice reflection not only from the front but the topside of it as well.

There is nothing insane. The relevation did not say where these Russian sites were in Ukraine.

Here I quote the twitter post,
The U.S. used their F-35s to locate and identify surface-to-air missile sites of Russian units in Ukraine

Kherson region is well within line of sight from the coast of Romainia if the aircraft flys at 15000 meters. Melitopo can be spotted in the middle of black sea. Krimea would be even more easily spotted from aircraft inside Turkish airspace. Sites around Denetsk would require aircraft flying near but still outside of Russian airsapce. None of these regions need aircraft flying over Ukrainian airspace.

The job can be done by any aircraft with decent optical sensor. F-35 makes a fuss because it is probably the only aircraft in USAF that can fly high enough and fast enough (to avoid harrasment from Russian airforce) which is also equipped with the right sensor. Even F-16 can do it IF it has something like a pod.

Those articles are a load of bull. The US can get better intelligence from Russian forces in Ukraine while still inside NATO borders with dedicated ELINT and radar aircraft. Not the F-35. And if you need to get closer you would use a drone.
Sure the F-35 might have been used in Kaliningrad. But not in Ukraine. There is no point in it and you would put pilots in danger.

Dude how many times are you going to use that tired line? Stop the hyperbole/sarcasm you're not fooling anyone at least not me. I get you don't want it to be true that F-35's... ahhh forget it.

I always knew it was a possibility that F-22's or F-35's would "accidently" fly over Ukraine airspace at night because that is who the US are I'm just surprised the Defense Minister of Singapore outed the US. I thought if it ever came out it would be a Russian accusation or some western media speculation report which can be easily denied however the Defense Minister never said they fly over Ukraine airspace so there's that.

They look like Krasnopol shots but also looks slow. A new type of weapon? For sure, target lasing from an Orlan is being used. I'm thinking possibly guided mortar rounds like Smelchak or Kitolov fired from self propelled mortars given the upward loop of the trajectory. An SPG of the AFU is disposed of in the Artemovosk region. The victim probably a Paladin.
