After killing of Ukrainian POWs by Patriot missile. Total failure of counteroffensive. And with only solution in war that Zaluzniy suggest right now are sitting in total defense with throwing 500-1000k a year into meat grinder it is a little surprise. It is not like military Ukraine have better options, but I do understand why Zelenskiy are upset about his commander.

Replacing your most popular general with the most hated one in the middle of enemy offensive is a pretty stupid decision. This is like if the Confederacy replace Robert E. Lee with Braxton Bragg in the middle of Overland Campaign.

Lol. How many generals has Russia replaced since the invasion of Ukraine? I'm not talking about the ones killed by Ukraine but sacked by Putin yet for some reason Ukraine is a big deal.

ukrainian supporters are in a virtual (pun intended) meltdown over the dismissal and appointment. can this syrski guy really be that bad?

in my opinion it doesnt really change much in the grand scheme of things. the danger is if ukrainian units second guess the orders they get, and worse, if ukrainian people second guess the military and fight back mobilization efforts.
