It was moved all the way from the Kronstadt in the Baltic (near St. Petersburg) to Togliatti, Samara.

Interesting. I wasn't aware submarines can be moved like this (on rafts).

U.S. and Ukraine Search for a New Strategy After Failed Counteroffensive​

• "Some in the U.S. military want Ukraine to pursue a “hold and build” strategy — to focus on holding the territory it has and building its ability to produce weapons over 2024. The United States believes the strategy will improve Ukraine’s self-sufficiency and ensure Kyiv is in a position to repel any new Russian drive."

Just as most of us suspected, they won't have another chance at an offensive for the foreseeable future. The "self-sufficiency" part is kind of odd, though. Do they expect Ukraine to establish factories on its own territory, where they can be struck by Russian missiles? I'm guessing this is production in a neighboring country with existing industrial base for Soviet weapons, like Romania, Poland, or Czech Republic.

• "At the same time, Ukrainian officials are examining strategies that build on their successful deep strikes on Crimea last fall. They are searching for creative ways to keep Russia off balance with attacks against arms factories, weapons depots and train lines for moving munitions, and to score symbolic victories. One Ukrainian former senior military official declined to discuss the proposals but said the new plan is being refined and is “very daring.”"

The US doesn't have many ATACMS to spare, so maybe this implies transfer of JSOW, JASSM, or Taurus in the future?

I'm quite surprised that they didn't arrested Zaluzhnyi, the only reason is probably that it have enough support to stay put for now but the situation could change if loyal units are destroyed.

zaluzhnyi should be left in place to take the blame of the failed war effort.
