The War in the Ukraine

Man, Europe is no longer becoming safe for Ukrainians.

There is no way for us to truely know whether this is real or fake unless if Irish authorities themselves issue a clarification on whether this is real or not.

However the letter is addressed to a guy named Ihor Doroshenko, a quick google search shows that there was a Ukrainian soldier named Ihor Doroshenko who died several months ago yet this letter is dated this month. Ofcourse this could easily be a different Ihor Doroshenko so I don't know.. We need official confirmation from Ireland.

When I post something remotely political, or even a benign comparison of this thread to the ORIGINAL Ukraine thread, my posts get deleted or I get banned.
What does Ukranians in Europe have to do with this thread (isn’t that political) and what’s uo with the buddy-buddy favoritism in moderation?

There have been multiple reports about the Ukraine planning (or already have) started to extradite Ukrainian men who fled the country "illegally". It has been said in the Ukrainian parliament.

At this point there's literally thousands of videos of Ukrainian men being forcibly dragged off the streets by recruitment officers. Sooner or later that won't be enough.

Your posts on aircraft are 10/10 researched and verifiable, however, as a courteous question, can you provide justification for the above 2 claims?

Agreed ... I was on the Autobahn back home while typing this; so sorry:

For the first one concerning cluster munition use by Russian Forces, I think this is in fact a fact as undeniable as the sun raises in the East or as if someone would generally question the use of soldiers in this war.

Concerning the second claim I have indeed issues, but similar to that I sometimes cannot instantly refute claims posted by Minnie Chan and the SCMP, this site - aka "Lord Bedo" - is well known as being to put it politely a not very much credible source. But I will check.

Thanks.
Although I would add, I would not rate HRW as a fair, non-biased source, given their role and funding. Their reporting on the 2019 Hong Kong riots is an example.
So far it's a "my word against theirs" situation, until conclusive, verifiable evidence comes out, e.g. by admission of the Russian side or a truly independent third party.

There's nothing wrong with Russia using cluster munitions on military targets in the Ukraine as they are not a signatory to the Convention on Cluster Munitions (as is the US, China). The problem comes from the fact that European countries despite being signatories are helping America arm the Ukrainians with them, a direct violation of the treaty:
  1. Use cluster munitions;
  2. Develop, produce, otherwise acquire, stockpile, retain or transfer to anyone, directly or indirectly, cluster munitions;
  3. Assist, encourage or induce anyone to engage in any activity prohibited to a State Party under this Convention.
The problem is exacerbated when Ukrainians use them to shell pro-Russian settlements in the Ukraine, but just aiding the Ukrainians to stockpile cluster bombs is a war crime.

Will the ICC do anything to prosecute the European leaders who have broken the law? Unlikely as the ICC is only used against African nations.

What claims? It's a photo of a letter. The letter has been circulating on telegram for a few days. It's not saying anything outlandish, Ukrainian politicians have said on record they would do exactly that. Is that Russian propaganda too?

AFU BMP-1 firing. You can see this is a rapid fire 30mm gun instead of the original 76mm gun. This indicates the BMP-1 has been upgraded with with BMP-2 turret. However the BMP-1 gets nailed by Russian artillery.

TOS-1A Solntsepek does it's thing in the Urozhayne kill zone.

Ukrainian convoy near Artemevosk gets plastered by artillery.

Ukrainian MRAP under fire by the 40th Marine Brigade. The MRAP, damaged, came to a full stop. Two soldiers managed to get out just as an ATGM hit the MRAP which ended in a mighty explosion.

AFU BMP disgorged it's troops to occupy a position in the forest line, and all were immediately covered with artillery.

FAB dropped on AFP positions.

Ukrainian refugees being supposedly pulled from Europe to go fight is definitely related with the military aspect of the war. If true, it shows that Ukrainian commanders believe that the current size of their army is insufficient for the current offensive and beyond. This phenomenon is just as serious as a recent report by British intelligence reporting that Russians are attempting to attract people from Central Asia to go fight as well. That is why, at the very least, I didn’t touch it.

However several posts did go off topic and they did get deleted or edited. There is no biased moderation. I for one definitely pissed off both sides.
