The War in the Ukraine

Christ dude Robotyne is still being contested, If the rainy muddy season starts and Robotyne is still not in full control I can't
imagine how badly this will crush morale for Ukraine planning future counteroffensives. Uralvagonzavod is still stockpiling on fresh new modified tanks, so I hope to see more generosity from the west to Ukraine to keep pace.

This war isn't going to be decided by who posts more tank footage or who has more "cool" tanks.

Russian claims of the air defense efficacy are interesting and worth investigating. The "truth" behind air defense capabilities is very much game changing and carries implications far beyond this war. Russian air defense capabilities in general have been fairly impressive in this war, but I am very curious about the total numbers.

I'm gonna be watching for what changes the Russian military makes in regards to air defense after this war.

Russian military makes in regards to air defense after this war.

I would expect changes in deployment strategy, things like how to make it harder to locate the battery, more rigorous usage of scout and shoot, using the full extent of S-300/400 mobility. The other thing is probably more intensive fighter CAP, A-100 finally got the required love and funds. Things like that.

Also maybe more emphasis on fire on the move capability/more Tor M2U. More target channels for Pantsyrs and Tor's. Maybe putting drone jammer too.

Air defences are so fragile, we have seen footage of single sniper round making a s-300 launcher go boom. A small drone can disable a radar without difficulties too. With the emergence of light drone warfare, close proximity bubble of these costly systems will need to be designed to take care of these threat. EW and pellets spewing systems able to get rid of multiple targets fast. Even distant airfields are targets from these now. Maybe designing cheap missiles that can be carried in large numbers for intensive CAP from fighter and attack helicopters
