China secretly sends enough gear to Russia to equip an army

The EU will not trigger a response to China's shipment of dual-use materials to Russia, as long as it remains in this "neutrality", Russia would continue to increase imports, according to customs data, that russian imports are increasing. We also saw that Chechnya imported military vehicles from China, thus causing a flurry of comments from China supporting Russia in the war.
I’m not surprised at the volume given how users in this forum found posts and reviews of all things by BOTH Russians and Ukrainians buying Chinese gear and drone parts. It goes to show how resource-intensive this war is.

Stupid story. Just pushing the usual narrative.
How many drones, helmets, bulletproof vests, NVG/Thermals and other "militarily useful" equipment from China are being sent to the Ukrainian forces? Story posted last week had a Ukrainian soldier who said Chinese smart phones are indispensable in calling for Artillery strikes.

Yes, the deals are so secret that China openly lists them in its official customs statistics and the companies involved happily gives interviews about it and posts mug shots of their super secret clients on its own website

That article name drops Shanghai H Win so much and so exclusively you’d think it was sponsored by Shanghai H Win.

I would lol if this journalist accidentally exposed an Ukrainian secret shopping attempt. Russia is vastly outspending Ukraine in purchases from China not because the Chinese are not selling, but because the Americans are banning the Ukrainians from spending US money on Chinese stuff.

The Russians don’t need to send someone to China to inspect the factory, nor would they go directly with Chinese commercial companies. If the Russians want Chinese made kit, all they need to do is give their contacts in the PLA an idea of the quality and quantity they need, and the PLA will give them the contact details of their own supply chain companies. Companies that normally don’t do commercial sales and who’s final product quality control is checked by the PLA themselves.

The above is Russian MoD. Individual Russian soldiers who want to source their own kit will go the commercial route. But it doesn’t make sense for big orders to be done that way. Not by the Russians anyways.

It still exists, albeit less noticeable. MIG-29’s are mainly used to shoot down cruise missiles and shaheds. Su-24’s are regularly used for Storm Shadow strikes, like they recently did to Crimea.
Not true. Mig-29s are both based and active near the frontline - escorting ground attack craft&launch HARMs. They're more active than Ukrainian Flankers(which also maintain CAP stations behind the frontlines and launch harms, but generally sit far further from the front; nowadays their activity often corresponds with storm shadow fencers).

While they are used against LACMs and Motorcycles when there is an opportunity, their effectiveness in this role is low.
1980s armament, analog mechanical scan radar, no proper datalink, and ancient man:machine interface against 2010-2020s threats just don't cut it.

Even blk 50-52 F-16s are considered to be grossly inadequate against LACMs, for example - and those are 2000s aircraft. Ukrainian aircraft are from the late1980s, and they somehow managed to not solve any of their downsides through their modernizations.

In recent weeks, various reports have come out regarding the ammunition that is arriving from the West, there is talk of ammunition in poor storage conditions, with an expired useful life and even NATO standard ammunition that differs from each other.

I am very curious about the calibers, since the ammunition announced is compatible between guns, for example, the 155mm ones, they are always compatible between the 39 and 52 calibers, and the only thing that changes is the range, they should not have any other type of problem, for example, the L39 m777 guns fire excalibur and smart Bonus ammunition, which can also be fired from L52 pzh2000 or caesar guns, and in the case of howitzer guns that are in Ukraine there is compatibility and interoperability with ammunition

Defensive fires, which Ukraine mostly did in the last year, allow for the defender to just aim to contend artillery superiority of the attacker to get the result. It allows for rather careful choice of batches of shells - and last year they were taking from the more available stocks in the first place.

Offensive fires place far higher suppression requirements on the attacker - yet again, now obtained from deeper and deeper stocks and various different sources. At the same time, attacker need the volume of fire right now - there is much less time to carefully sort out munitions.

TLDR: unless you just finished another war, to get consistent, precise artillery fires - you have to supply your army with enough ammo from big production lines, not from old wardrobe and all other the world.
This is the best way to get huge batches of consistent cartridges in a consistent material shape.

They are not necessarily compatible. I'm no expert, but I remember that the French 105 mm gun on the AMX-10RC uses ammunition that's incompatible with the more common British L7 105 mm found on the donated Leopard 1 and M-55S. Not all ammunition will be compatible with all guns either.

We are starting to see Storm Z units in the front. Rota Z captures a few Ukrainian prisoners without serious injury in the Svatovo Kremennaya front. The fact we are seeing many videos in the northern area point to increased intense activity indicative of an offensive.

Drone followed Ukrainian troops to where their hideout is, and the Sudaplatov Battalion sends a quadcopter loaded with explosives right at it. Furthermore they did a few other times.

Those big explosions at the port city of Reni points to something big hit by the Geran drones, likely big ammo and fuel depots.
