Is it true that there was an attack on Wagner or is Prigozhin just self aggrandizing himself as he usually does? Whatever the case and motivations, this is a huge mess... Just as Russia was demonstrating that it can just about indefinitely repel Ukrainian offensive with few casualties with inflicting very heavy losses on Ukrainian forces, this happens.

Even with Wagner taking up arms, the situation could still be diffused if Putin played an excellent political game, however his public speech afterwards really sealed the outcome. Once the "traitor" hat falls on your head, there is really no turning back. Its a live or die moment now I think
M-2 highway from the Tula has been blocked in both directions. Should be about 170km from Moscow.
Did I interpret the speech wrong? I'm pretty sure traitor refers to Prigozhin and maybe his diehard associates, Putin was very much trying to appease the Wagner soldiers by telling them do not be fooled by the traitors.

They supposedly shot down 3 helicopters several hours ago. Was Putin going to call them friends?
This is what I want to know. But even if it is true it is still no reason to start a goddamned rebellion over, unless he is sure it was ordered by Putin himself. What if it was a simple friendly fire accident? What if it was orchestrated by enemy agent?
Lol. If someone deliberately attacks you, you are well within your rights to rebel. Combine that with the previous political attacks by the MOD against Wagner and it really no surprise that this happens.
It all depends on if the initial claim of his base being attacked was true. If yes, don't be surprised that mercenaries would attack back.

If they indeed attacked Wagner then I don't blame them for fighting back. Russia has itself to blame for this mess.
