Wagner had T-90s during their assault on Bakhmut.
Only a couple if I remember correctly. And I believe Prigozhin complained about that before. However, I have never seen them field T-72B3’s. That’s what threw me off.
Is OSINTdefender a reliable source?
I am not too sure. As always, read these tweets with a pinch of salt. Initially I thought that Rosgvardia and Russian regulars just arrived. But the tank barrels’ direction, the soldiers in multicam camouflage pointing guns at the MoD building, and troops in a stack formation behind MRAP’s rapidly moving to the building point to a potential Wagner takeover with potentially the help of defectors given how fast this “coup” is.

Isn't Rostov a major supply hub for the front? If Wagner decides to be difficult here it's going to cause supply issues for troops manning the lines.
Yep. Sits at the end of the main road leading into Southern Ukraine.

Basically the remaining Russian troops there have 2 choices: Come to Rostov and join Wagner, or stay in place and face the Ukrainian onslaught with no supplies or ammo.

It’s possible that they are a mix of Rosgvardia and Russian regulars. I don’t remember Wagner operating T-72B3 tanks. They only operated a couple of T-90M’s. For all we know, perhaps some Russian regulars and Rosgvardian troops joined Wagner. It’s going to get confusing initially.
Aren't those T-80BV based on their ERA configuration and exhaust location?

Seems like traffic between Rostov and Taganrog are now moving again.

It feels like it's not an act by Prigozhin, he really was trying to start something. But when it came to actually doing a move he realizes he doesn't know anything about how to stage a coup.

It's all very strange.

"Hey man can you watch somewhere else? I need to setup my machinegun here"
"Yeah sure thing bro"

This is some WWF pro-wrestling shenanigan except with actual armies and shit...

At the risk of sounding 20/20 hindsight, I've always thought in the back of my head having such a powerful private army is going to end up in tragedy, anyone familiar with history knew where this is heading, just didn't expect it to happen so soon. And what is Shoigu thinking? Now is the time to rein in Wagner? At this particular juncture?
