Russian MBT survives multiple ATGM hits and manages to evacuate the area

Pro-Russian sources are claiming Budanov was killed in the the strike on the GUR's HQ but as usual, as well with the Zaluzhny claim, take it with a shipping container worth of salt

Why is it painted in yellow? Refurbished? Overhauled ? Newly assembled from old spare parts ?

The best identification marking they could come up with to avoid friendly fire. Which is why Su-25's and Mi-8's are painted in garishly blue/yellow colors all over the place

Just a small note:

I found that the discussion of general strategy on the (existing) pages 1568 - 1570 of this thread was relatively clear-headed.

It wasn't just reports of combat activity (which can be helpful), but there was a discussion of the aims and strategy of the combatants, and their ability to implement them. These kinds of exchanges raise the quality of the thread, and encourage people to think about the larger picture. There is a massive fog-of-war in this conflict, but people try and evaluate it nonetheless.

Avdiivka under Russian incendiary fire. These are usually a prelude to an offensive.

That first hit was quite interesting, there was a large orange flare that is quite uncharacteristic of ATGM hits.
Any ideas why?
Yes. Mine most likely, second hit is also not like ATGM hit as there was explosion next to it before it hit the tank. 2nd is probably RAAM or artillery.
