Several months ago a member of Russia's Duma said there is massive media cover up from the Russian side to hide the extent of destruction that happened to the Russian towns near the border due to AFU shelling. one or two Russian citizens being killed every now and then may not seem like much but over the course of a year this starts to add up, I wonder how many total Russian citizens have been killed in Belgorod since the start of the war!
The current defensive posture of Russia looks quite uncomfortable for the Capitol, they try to unballance and cause grievance to Russia to start an invasion.

Ultimatedly, the target here is to kill as much Russian as possible, and destroying the cohesion/political support of the war.But it is not possible if the Russians defending, and destroying the Capitol equipment and manpower.

There is only 70k NATO (trained :D ) soldier left that capable to conduct any military manouver .

Reson of the castrating POWs, remarks/statements of the Ukrainan ministers designed to be as bullying/ offesnive as possible , terror attack and so on .

Smerch or Uragan MLRS of the UAF hit by Lancet, leads to a horrific cook off.

D-30 howitzer of the UAF got smacked by Lancet. Nutshell Guide. Main difference between a D-20 and a D-30 howitzer is the D-20 is 152mm and the D-30 a 122mm. Akasya SPG 2S3 uses a D-20 and the Gzovdika SPG 2S1 uses a D-30.

The Russians already invaded though, like more than one year ago, it's just a half *ssed invasion.

And so far they have been quite successful in their target of killing Russians, probably around 30k Russian soldiers have been killed already and two or three times that wounded. And the only thing the Russians have to show for after all these sacrifices is them retreating out of Kharkov and large parts of Kherson to "more defensible positions".
By capitol I suppose you mean the US, how many soldiers has the US lost in this war? at best a couple of thousand American mercs.

Russian forces are conducting offensive operations against Ukrainian troops in the area outside Donetsk in Donbass, the Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the ministry announced that assault detachments of the Russian 5th motorized rifle brigade and an Akhmat special forces unit are successfully attacking Ukrainian troops near the town of Maryinka, around 30km west of the capital of Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The Akhmat unit is part of Russia’s National Guard and is based in the Chechen Republic. It was named after Akhmad Kadyrov, the region’s first president and father of current leader, Ramzan Kadyrov.

The reports of successful attacks come after Kadyrov declared on Tuesday that Chechen units would face combat in the DPR, adding that troops “are getting ready for assault action.”

The ministry also claimed that Ukraine had lost 200 soldiers in the Donetsk area, as well as three armored and 12 transport vehicles, one artillery piece, and two multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian forces have also destroyed Ukraine’s last navy warship, the Yury Olefirenko, according to the statement. The Soviet-era landing ship was sunk by a high-precision strike in the port city of Odessa, the ministry claimed.

It added that in the last 24 hours, Russian air defenses had intercepted 12 missiles launched from US-made High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), as well as one UK-supplied long-range Storm Shadow missile.

Since the start of hostilities in Donbass in 2014, which were triggered by a Western-backed coup in Kiev, the town of Maryinka has become a frontline city hosting strong Ukrainian fortifications. The area has also been used by Kiev’s troops to repeatedly shell civilians in Donetsk.

30k is not much compared to wars of the past, even large-scale wars like Vietnam. I think in general the whole issue of interventions in the gulf left an unrealistic idea of what a war between two big nations is.

On US losses...

Personal? little, but its entire worldview on the planet, its dominance over it and therefore its own future and prosperity is at stake.
The economic damage the US has done to itself in the long run is enormous.
The damage the EU has done to itself is almost suicidal.

That is what this is really about, and there are more than a few NATO PMs such as the Polish PM who have said that Western dominance of the planet is at stake in Ukraine.

Well, now that the debt ceiling is in fashion.
What will happen to that mountain of debt if more and more nations abandon the dollar? Or do they only use it in part?
What if most of the trade in Asia is done in 2030 in Yuan?
This will be the complete and unequivocal replacement of the USA by China, with this war being the catalyst for all this.
That is why President Xi said to Putin when they said goodbye:

"Now comes a change that hasn't happened for 100 years. And we are moving that change together".

Yesterday, Russia's prime minister Mikhail Mishustin said that since the beginning of this year for five months new 1 500 000 residents of the new regions have received Russian citizenship. Russia will have millions of new citizens in the future.
