The War in the Ukraine

Ukrainian BREM-1 vehicles arrive to recover a downed T-80U got bombarded by Russian artillery. It looks to me the Russians were waiting and using the tank as bait.

ATGM used against Ukrainian positions. This might be the Kornet version with the thermobaric warhead.

Russian drone observed Ukrainians loading ammunition into a truck. The Russians waited until the truck was fully loaded before hitting it with artillery.

3 tanks and one BMP-1 destroyed by Ka-52.

Ukrainian tank attacking Russian positions fell under artillery fire. First hit may have damaged it, the second hit killed it.

Russians sent a GAZ-66 truck filled with explosives to this Ukrainian bridge and blew it up remotely.

In recent days AFU is launching a lot of probing attacks along the entire front, just on 18th:

Two directions in Zaporizhzhia

Two directions around Vuhledar

Then on 19th:

One in Kreminna direction.

Looks like AFU is probing the Russians for weakness for their upcoming offensive. In all cases so far Russians have beaten the Ukrainian back. Of note the attack around Vuhledar seems very intense for a probing attack. There's an interview floating around where someone from 155th Naval Infantry says in the process of beating back AFU they shot down two fix wing UAVs, one Mi-8 and three Su-25. Then Rybar reports they apparently shot down another Su-25 on 18th:

That's a lot of air support for a probing attack if true.

The one in Vuhledar is the one that involved russian helis destroying at least 3 tanks (confirmed in video posted earlier) they claim another 5 IFVs were destroyed in that attack-reccon.
There is also video evidence of the Su-25 going down after a MANPAD was shot at him, so quite a strong force was sent ...

Su-25 are still flying on Ukraine side, how many did they receive from other countries ? Talk a lot about Mig-29 changing hands but not a lot about Su-25.

Ukrainian air force is resilient I could say.

Scenes of Bakhmut, now a city of ruin.

Lancet takes out an MSTA-S in Ukrainian service.

Shadowed by Russian UAV, a Ukrainian fortification was targeted by Russian artillery.

Sucks for them artillery rounds can't be 3d printed in a garage. Would probably be more effective than that
Yeah, I think the lessons learnt from this war will have far reaching consequences for any insurgencies in the future, as most militaries will not have the same level of resources to counter this threat and the defend/offense cost is so lopsided.
