The War in the Ukraine

Not all of them went to Azovstal. There were thousands of casualties in the city fighting. The bodycount was horrendous. But to me it looks like it was the Ukrainian marines who did most of the actual fighting and the Azov heads hid in the bunkers. These guys are used to getting away with everything they want. They can even threaten the President of Ukraine.

Well. If they get sent to the DPR for trial they have the death penalty in there. It is nice of these freaks to incriminate themselves by filming their own war crimes.

It sounds like BS to me. While it is true that the Ministry of Internal Affairs are basically state police, so might not have a lot of shooting practice, the whole conversation seems kind of fantastic on the surface of it. So far I have heard of no Russian volunteers who joined after the war started being sent to the front. Unless you volunteered to the Chechen unit, and they are sending 200 people there a week, I just don't see it happening. And people aged over 40, he mentions someone being aged 43, cannot currently sign up for a contract with the armed forces.

It is a bit more dynamic than that. But yes Ukrainian artillery is doing most of the damage.
Again, an element of information warfare against Russia. People think that propaganda is just in English media, forgetting that there are literally tens of Russian language websites-being run by Ukrainian and Western information warfare teams -ostensibly to sow chaos and confusion amongst the army and discredit the Russian operation to the Russian people .

This was published last week and I'm sure black propaganda ops against China and Russia are in high gear

hey folks. Sorry for the absence. I've been very sick. I caught something shortly after the family arrived from Europe. Fevers suck and there's no rest for the wicked. But... I only had so much energy. No, it wasn't covid.

Let's keep the thread on target, please. Russia in NATO is entirely OT and in wild alternate history territory requiring a very different 1990s than what we had.

Mauripol has fallen! As soon as they announced the wounded were being transported away, it was wildly obvious what was happening. Claims for anything else were pure cope.

I'd say watch soledar for the Russian offensive. They seem to be making significant progress there. It looks like a solid breakout finally. I will find it interesting to see if the Ukrainians retreat from Severodonetsk or if they take a fortress city approach like they have elsewhere.

In the north, watch Vovchansk. It sure seems like the Ukrainians are driving for it. I'd also wonder about a second attempt at Kharkov now that Ukrainians have moved more forces east. We will see.

Be safe and well, folks.

No, if Russia joined NATO, then the new NATO enemy would be China, India, or any non-White power that remotely challenges Western hegemony. They will never allow China into NATO because it's not white or western power.
It doesn't make any sense at all. India can be crippled at anytime just by high tech countries refusing to sell it anything. Russia has no emnity towards China and has had none since America became the world bully. Russia and America can never work together meaningfully because both countries would never allow themselves to be a junior partner and there cannot be 2 tigers owning the same mountain. Russia wanted Europe to drop its East vs West mentality; why the hell would it want to make an enemy out of China? China's basically Russia's best friend right now.

Looks like the cauldron will be inevitably closed,
This 20 by 40 km cauldron will indeed be the next "2nd best army in the world" immense success after 2 months of hard work, if it happens. Only taking over Mariupol after 3 months could be put above this on the "best ever" list I assume.

I’m sure the members here may not believe it, but it was NATO policy not to train active or past members of Azov or Right Sector. Not sure if they did stringent background checks, but that was the policy on paper.

If that was NATO policy, it sure had poor implementation. As well as all the NATO documentation showing up in Azov bases, there are photos of western instructors posing with Azov members.

When America wants to support a militant group, they go for the most militant/radical group there. They learnt it in Afghanistan and have applied it in conflicts throughout the world.
