The War in the Ukraine

This table you post of Russian casualties, what are the sources?

Are there any reliable source of Russian and Ukrainian casualties at all?

I have personally seen none whatsoever. Meduza/BBC's count of Russian deaths seems more believable to me mainly due to how the figures seem more realistic to the Russian army's force structure.

I tend to have faith in Mossad and what Israel says. Their estimates are very grim. But also a side that has been largely absent from the conflict.

Netherlands doesn’t have any Leo2 tanks.
They have a dozen or so Leo2 in a combined unit with Germany. Not sure if they are owned or leased, though
All of them have the usual misleading commentary and no context. Natalia Gabriela Dominica is a Polish-speaking troll account that started in March of 2021 and was involved in spreading of fake news in Poland even before the invasion. I recognized this specific account. That's not someone taking a side in the conflict but a 100% Russian troll with 0% credibility.
There is no context in which military members draggin people of the street looks good. If this was filmed in Russia we wouldn't be seeing the same level of "nuance" in the matter.

Nobody drags people off the streets in Ukraine to put them in uniform because there are more people available for voluntary service than there are either (1) positions or (2) equipment or (3) ability to absorb them in the long term.
Some of the videos that have come out of the frontlines by deserters seems to suggest otherwise along with tales of people with medical issues getting summons

The few people being taken by force are AWOL.
People being AWOL will just be walking down the street knowing full well there are patrols and checkpoints everywhere?

Nobody is checking the papers and if you take a moment to look carefully at the videos you'll see other men in military age who walk past unmolested
They are already struggling with one person and in many cases they are being surrounded by civilians who don't seem to agree with what's being done, it makes no sense to go after anybody else if you don't have the manpower for that.

Using vans disguised as ambulances shows this isn't just "trolling and misinformation".

U.S. focuses on training Ukrainian troops to use less ammo. The U.S. is prioritizing helping the Ukrainians tweak the way they fight, relying less on artillery barrages and more on how the troops maneuver on the battlefield, as concerns mount over Western nations’ ability to replenish ammunition stocks.

Russians ATGM strike at a Ukrainian BMP at Svatovo. The attack is perpendicular, like an ambush on a road or supply line. The BMP looks alone which begs the question why.

Convoy of Ukrainian BMPs getting picked off by Krasnopol. A Krasnopol attack is evident with a green targeting reticle on the drone view seen here. Ukrainian markings makes their vehicles easy to spot and ID by drones.

Ukrainian ammunition depot on Zaporozhye going up. Possible work by Geran drone? Or by Tornado S MLRS?

I'm going to give my thoughts regarding this one Mossad estimate claim.

I sincerely doubt that this is a legitimate Mossad assessment and upon reading the article, which was from a Turkish origin media, the media itself, where the claim of Mossad came from, was a relatively small and not a major news media network like for example Turkish TRT. I doubt Mossad agents would like to spill the beans on some local and small media network.

Apparently Kiev doesn't want to give up Bakhmut just yet.
It's probably better for Russia to let one road open inside artillery range to let them continue reinforcing, it's turkey shot if they let them fill Bakhmut with troops.. Clearly sad for the Ukrainian troops throwed there. Mostly conscripts probably while waiting to do a real push with trained elsewhere ? I'm not even sure that they will be able to do that spring offensive...
