The political establishment is the biggest culprit by far, Putin still held onto of vain hopes of Slavic Brotherhood and vastly underestimated how indoctrinated the Ukranian Armed forces had become over the past 8 years.
Putin is not all those things and he has far intelligence beyond Ukraine.
what he is trying to do is managing the conflict to make it sustainable long term. obviously he cannot use weopons that damage environment or get tough with west due to global wealth stored there. . He also has Turkish speaking spokesperson that can understand things real time when all the time talk with Turks who are essentially represent Germany. Israeli PM went straight to Berlin to see Scholz after meeting Putin. Than Austrian Chancellor and former German Chancellor came for talks to Moscow. Austrian Chancellor did not understood when Putin told him that he is winning despite withdrawing around North.

Ukranian MiG-29 hunting for Shahed drones. There are claims that a MiG-29 either crashed or got shot down by Ukranian air defense while chasing a drone

An Australian M113 was captured in Marinka

Seems a Russian Ka-52 pilot escorting a Mi-17 found it amusing to land on a parked Il-76

Attempts by the Ukrainians to repair captured equipment. Both T-72B3 seems to be missing their thermal cameras and likely the first one is just being cannibalized for parts, while a T-62 is being converted into either a command vehicle of some sort or a recovery vehicle

Ukrainian T-84 "Oplot" spotted in action near Kupyansk, this must mean Ukrainian 3rd Tank Brigade has been moved up there.

Ukrainians have been saving up those for the whole war. Pretty much only seen once around the time when Russians pulled out of Kiev. Throughout the whole of last year every time there's a photo of them they've been spotlessly clean without any personal affects from the crew on the outside. If such "parade" units are thrown into the fight now things must be getting really hot.

There are 5 total of them, unless Ukraine managed to buy back the hundred or so from Thailand.

It's even bigger of a rare white elephant than spotting an armata.
