The War in the Ukraine

The goal is to weaken and isolate Russia. Wear down their military, crash their economy, instigate political revolution. That is the main US objective - not to "win the war" in a military sense, but to make Russia suffer.

This shall then be an example to all who oppose the US. This is why they keep saying "China is watching."
This. And, thus, no Abrams for Ukraine, because nukes flying isn't the goal.

Are they? Is that an opinion or a fact you can back up with a source? Also what kind of aircraft are they using?

"They lack sufficient penetrating assets to conduct initial direct strikes and targeting for stand-off munitions – with only a slowly increasing but overcommitted F-35 fleet on which to draw. They lack sufficient suitable munitions stocks. The pilots in most air forces also lack experience of regularly operating as part of large, mixed and mutually supporting strike packages – outside the usually once-in-a-career opportunity to deploy on the US-hosted Exercise Red Flag. European air forces also lack the large stand-off ISTAR fleets traditionally used to map and understand enemy air defence networks, and the intelligence and C2 staff capacity to run complex large-scale operations without significant US personnel and enabler support. As a result, if the US was committed to a major war elsewhere or otherwise politically unwilling to shoulder the primary SEAD/DEAD responsibilities, NATO air forces would face similar problems establishing air superiority over territory contested by Russia or any other state opponent with mobile SAMs. This severely limits sovereign freedom of action, and is a key bottleneck to any attempt to reduce the Alliance’s military over-dependence on the US"

TLDR: Excluding the US and maybe UK, the rest of the NATO's members' air forces are over-reliant on the US to perform SEAD/DEAD operations and lack the equipment and experience in performing such operations.

Given the fact that this was published by RUSI and written by Justin Bronk, who is a pretty famous and authoritative research fellow, I presume that this article is of good quality.

Breakdowns of military equipment are not uncommon, even on a normal march, up to 10% of military equipment can break down and this is a problem for all the armies of the world. Published footage of the repair of Russian military equipment in Ukraine. In order to maintain the high combat readiness of the subunits, first of all, the weapons that are necessary for the performance of a combat mission or can be repaired in the shortest possible time are repaired.

An episode of the combat operation of the Russian T-80 tank near Bakhmut. The tank quickly changes positions as it can be hit by Ukrainian artillery in return. The video shows the destruction of a strong point and work through a thermal imager on the infantry of the Ukrainian army.

Two Polish-made 155-mm self-propelled guns Krab received by the Ukrainian army came under attack by Russian Lancet kamikaze drones. In the first drone strike, the self-propelled guns received minor damage and were abandoned by the crew. When a drone attacked another Krab self-propelled guns, it happened on the move, a fire started in the self-propelled guns and the ammunition exploded. One of the crew members did not have time to leave the car.

In the battles in Ukraine, the skills of the World of Tanks game were used. Despite the fact that computer games are scolded, the experience gained in the game World of Tanks helped Russian tankers in the battles in Ukraine.

Not saying that isn't possible, too. But IMO, US fears catastrophical Ukrainean sucess, say offensive that cuts off Russian forces in Crimea or captures Donetsk etc. That might force Putin to use nuclear weapons to stop that from happening, and that is something the US want's to avoid.
Based on what? The leopard tanks? Lol are you for real? This latest ask is just about the latest claims that this weapons will bring about the defeat of Russia, another wonder weapon, a game changer.

If 14 tanks from each countries of UK, US, and Germany will make that happen insults the intelligence of people.

Whilst I'm not saying all his conclusions are incorrect, it is worth pointing out that Justin Bronk has in the past gathered a rather notorious reputation for long publishing anti-Russian "hit" pieces.

More and more videos of the forced mobilization in Ukraine.

This video is from Odessa, brutal. I wonder what the morale of these forcibly mobilized people will be:

This from the Intel Slava blog at Telegram with an accompanied photo of Mr. Kubay and his summons:

"This man's name is Ruslan Kubay received a summons in the city of Drogobych, Lviv region.

The employees of the national police of Ukraine did not believe the man's illness and offered him to go to the military registration and enlistment office.

He was declared fit for service and sent for a medical examination.

The hospital staff also did not believe the disabled person of the first group.

Only after a full medical examination did they make sure that he had no hands (!).

Where he, in their opinion, all this time Ruslan hid his hands is not reported."

This comes with accompanied photograph from the Rvvoenkor blog in Telegram. Can't download or even screenshot pics from Telegram due to it security policy.

"The Lviv military enlistment office decided to turn the funeral of a militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the grave of a new batch of "cannon fodder": all the men were given subpoenas. They write that a few lucky onestaken straight from the funeral to the units."

This one from the Colonel Cassad blog at Telegram, forwarded from WELDERS.

"Some statistical data from the reports sent to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reflecting the whole tin of the Bakhmut meat grinder.

On January 17, 200 people mobilized from the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions were brought to the Artemovsk (Bakhmut) region.

As of January 21, of these: 37 confirmed dead, 26 wounded, 55 refuseniks, more than 30 people are missing (their fate is unknown, most likely also dead or captured)."

Incredible lucky Ukrainian Army Krab SPG vehicle wich the wire net it was in cought this Lancet kamikaze munition before it detonate again unbelievable photos

Ammo payload is probably one of the factor between blowing up or not on these SPG. We see direct hits with very small damage and sometimes glancing blow with cook off... Armor is clearly not enough against a shaped charge but if there's nothing to ignite the damage it don't look that bad.

Sure if you are on the receiving end of the hole you will die or equipment will be busted but the vehicule will not be totalled from that small explosion. Maybe we will see better armored ammo compartments in the future, they are the liability of these system.

Ukraine will receive Leopard tanks, because the Germans will succumb to the pressure.

But the tanks won't make a difference and we will all see their losses in combat. And then Ukraine will ask for the Abrams.

So the Abrams will eventually be featured in Ukraine. It's only a matter of time.

The only tank we might not see is the Leclerc, but who knows.

This conflict will last 2-4 years until a landlocked Ukraine settles for peace, forced on by war weary Western allies. Poland will send in forces as the fighting approaches the East.
