⚡️ Report of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the progress of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine (12.12.2022)
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to conduct a special military operation.
◽️ In the Kupyansky and Krasno-Limansky directions, as a result of a complex fire engagement in the areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, up to 70 Ukrainian servicemen, three armored combat vehicles and five vehicles were destroyed.
◽️ In the Donetsk direction, Russian troops continued offensive operations. As a result of a preemptive fire engagement, an attempt by the enemy to counterattack Russian positions in the direction of the settlement of Peski in the Donetsk People's Republic was thwarted by one company of the 59th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The losses of the Ukrainian side amounted to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, two infantry fighting vehicles and three pickup trucks.
Operational-tactical aviation, missile forces and artillery defeated the 83rd artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, as well as manpower and military equipment in 156 districts.
An ammunition depot of the 102nd Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed near the village of Gulyai Pole, Zaporozhye region.
During a counter-battery fight at a firing position near the village of Zeleny Gay, Kharkiv region, a Ukrainian Smerch multiple launch rocket launcher was hit. In the area of the settlement of Krasny Liman of the Donetsk People's Republic, a combat vehicle of the Grad multiple launch rocket system was hit.
Russian air defense systems destroyed two MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in the air in the areas of the settlements of Rodinske and Pavlovka of the Donetsk People's Republic. In addition, two Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopters were shot down near the settlements of Kurakhovo and Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
During the day, six unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Golikovo, Ploshchanka, Melovatka, Popasnoye of the Luhansk People's Republic, Terny, Kharkiv region and the city of Donetsk.
◽️ Also, two Ukrainian Tochka-U ballistic missiles and two rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system were intercepted near the village of Yubileynoye, Kherson region.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 343 aircraft, 183 helicopters, 2,653 unmanned aerial vehicles, 396 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7,076 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 928 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 3,678 field artillery guns and mortars, and also 7568 units of special military vehicles.
