The War in the Ukraine

Based on the size of the structure, that looks more like a farmhouse. The remnants indicate a single story structure. Not something I would expect to house hundreds of soldiers. Furthermore there are neither Wagner nor Chechens that are deployed in Melitopol, since their area of action is far north in Bakhmut and Soledar, and would be putting their training camps closer to those areas. Two civilians killed and a number of wounded reported.

Activity by Russian snipers.

Remnants of M777 howitzer along with other vehicles.

Transcript from East Tribune as follows:

"The incident that was documented in the middle of the forest shows the position of the Ukrainian troops which were destroyed, it can be seen that there is a lot of military equipment scattered and abandoned. It appears that one of the Zelensky troop's pride howitzer M777 was in a badly destroyed condition, unable to be operated again. Also visible are the burnt remains of one gun and an American Oshkosh FMTV artillery tractor. This was allegedly due to an attack from the Russian Armed Forces that came to destroy the positions of the Ukrainian militants, so that two military vehicles the pride of Zelensky's troops were destroyed."

Ukrainian soldier pulls comrade safely away from burning wreck.

"At the beginning of the recording shows thick clouds of smoke soaring. The thick plume of smoke turned out to be coming from a military vehicle that was on fire in the Bakhmut area. In the description of the upload, it was stated that the military vehicle that was on fire allegedly belonged to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Looking around the burning car one could see one of the Ukrainian soldiers lying on the ground. Seeing that his colleague was injured, swiftly and without caring about the flames that could have endangered his life, Ukrainian soldiers rushed to pull his colleague to a safer place. Luckily, the effort was successful and saved their lives. Until this video circulated, various comments were written by netizens."

Absolutely agree with you on this. Russia loses or it looks like it is going to lose Ukraine that puts Russia and Putin in extreme danger of collapse circa 1991.

Unfortunately that won't happen. If nukes are used inside Ukraine and unstoppable dominos effect will take place leading to WW3. From the start of this conflict even in the early days where it looked like Russia was going to roll over Ukraine I thought this conflict was going to become bigger that will drag in NATO/US. WW2 took years to become WW2 I think we're a few months away from an escalation. That s300 missile landing in Poland getting the media and many all worked up until it was figured out that it wasn't Russian missile was a very small taste of what is about to happen.

There's a reason why US is sending a crap load of tanks and other armored vehicles to Poland. They are getting ready.

Apart from nukes, Russia simply has no means to escalate and nukes would end Putin, so they have no nukes either to be reckoned with. What are they going to fight Europe with? Ladas, molotow cocktails and Kamaz?

WW2 analogy is flawed. Germany's Poland mission was a success and didn't leave an army in shambles, Russia's Ukrainian adventure is not a failure, it's a total disaster.

At the moment I watch my gas bill go up to 14 pounds/days, in the supermarket the price increase is hard to measrue now, in the past few month it is around 30-100% on yearly base.

The wholesale electricity price in the UK is 2 pounds/kwh for the comming days, that means with this price it makes sense to generate electricity with horses, and sell it on the wholesale market.
Fab green electricity production, horses driving generators , next step will be horses pulling cars, as the ultimate green revolution.

Just to have the share magnitude of the pain. And we haven't reached the continental Europe for problems yet .

Ukraine stoped to be a functioning country, Russia simply destroyed its economy, bigger part of the population left the country than from Sysria .

The Ukrainan army condition is tope secret for morale reason in whole NATO land, but considering that they haven't got heating for Liviv I can assume the 1000 km away trenches hasn't got better conditions. Means Winter, Frostbite and Pneumonia will kill the Ukrainan soldiers, Russia just has to help him.

The economical pain higher than during the last 75 years in western europe, and at the moment the whole continent running on the stored Russian gas. What will happnes next winter ? I am sure it will change for the worst, not the best.

This is like a perfect example of full spectrum warfare against NATO because here in the Netherlands just across the Canal its maybe a bit better than the UK. But food has pretty much become 20~30% more expensive in the supermarket, i will not start about energy bills.

All Putin/Kremlin is doing is offering what looks like a minimal blood offer to accomplish this compared to what Ukraine is offering just to hold on. Or the amount of money the EU needs to spend just to keep the heat on and convincing industry to stay in the EU.

These twitter accounts not very reliable.

One of the largest media outlets in Eastern Europe is pushing out fake news, now a bombshell report suggests it's sponsored by Warsaw.

Chances are that any active Twitter user over the past year will have seen a tweet or two from an account called
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
and, most likely, the information contained in those tweets will have been fake. Now, an investigation from a leading Polish news site has revealed that the outfit appears to be funded by the office of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Founded in 2020, Visegrad24 publishes news on Central and Eastern Europe round the clock. Completely opaque, its website is just a single page, with links to its various social media accounts, PayPal, and text asking visitors to “please be patient” as their team is “currently bringing you 24/7 updates from Ukraine on social media.” Who or what is running it and financing it isn’t stated, and a generic email address is the only means of contact.

Visegrad24’s follower base, and its visibility, exploded following the start of Russia's military offensive in Ukraine and it has generally posted multiple times per day about the conflict since. Its Twitter account has amassed almost 320,000 followers at the time of this article’s publication, perhaps due to clear anti-Russia bias, with its posts almost always generating hundreds if not thousands of likes and retweets, and frequently being cited by mainstream politicians, pundits, and journalists, and other media outlets.

However, this rise to prominence has not been without controversy. Many users have drawn attention to Visegrad24’s frequent tendency to publish false information, which often paints a far more positive picture of Kiev’s war effort than the on-the-ground reality. The example linked here shows a debunking of a typical Visegrad24 tall tale.

Fake news pushed by the account includes completely false reports on actor Leonardo DiCaprio sending $10 million to Ukraine, support among politicians in Warsaw for creating a Poland-Ukraine Union, and photos said to be from the Ukraine conflict that are, in fact, many years old.

As such, Morawiecki now has serious questions to answer about whether his office is indeed behind Visegrad24, as a new investigation from Wiadomości strongly suggests.

Wiadomości found that on 23 November, Poland’s Finance Ministry published documents on budget allocations showing Prime Minister Morawiecki allocated 1,396,800 zloty ($313,475) to an entity called Action-Life Foundation, to “finance the implementation of a public task under the name ‘Visegrad24’.”

There appears to be no other organization in the region, or even world, with that name, bar the well-known social media initiative. Seeking clarity, Wiadomości contacted the Prime Minister’s Office, asking if they were one and the same, and the justification for funding the project. Action Life Foundation were asked the same questions.

Initially, the Polish Government Information Center claimed the Prime Minister's granting of the subsidy was issued in response to an offer submitted by Action Life Foundation in September, although it did not provide the contract or any further details, as the agreements “has not yet been concluded” and “procedures are under way to sign the contract for the implementation of this project.” They also did not clarify whether this was the same Visegrad24, and ignored follow-up requests on this question.

Wiadomości called the number listed on the Foundation’s website. Oddly, the individual who answered didn’t want to identify himself, although his statements are said to imply he was the one who conducted talks with the Prime Minister’s Office about the Visegrad24 subsidy. However, apparently they were informed on 21 and 25 November, right around the time the funds were officially granted, that “there are no more funds in the budget” and the organization would not be receiving any state money.

However, the nameless man did not want to say who relayed this information, and whether the decision to immediately withdraw the provided subsidy was given in writing. When asked if the Foundation had carried out geopolitical activities prior to being awarded the Visegrad24 project, he mentioned the Festival of Polish-Czech Culture and Song, and when quizzed about the website itself, he declared, “there is no project, so there is no website.” He then hung up.

The Polish Prime Minister’s Office likewise ignored queries as to whether its grant for the Foundation was withdrawn, and whether it happened after Wiadomości asked questions about the Visegrad24 project. Stefan Tompson, a video creator, public relations officer and associate of Polish state-owned TV network Telewizja Polska linked to the Visegrad24 social media operation, didn’t answer a call from Wiadomości, but did read messages from its reporters on these subjects.

Their collective silence speaks volumes. Since the conflict started, an information war has been waged online, which Australian researchers have concluded is heavily weighted in Ukraine’s favor. It would be completely unsurprising if Visegrad24 was in fact financed by the Polish state. What else could account for the reluctance of every individual and official involved in it to hold their hands up?

Any guesses when Russia will take Bakhmut?
When no Ukrainian remains there or when they are not able to call more ukrainian troops in the grinder. Why advancing in the no mans land when the enemy is going in it to be destroyed,,, Nothing to gain for Russia to take new cities when they don't exist anymore, a stable front to grind the Ukrainian forces is the best they can hope until they just crumble. When crumble time come, they will take big bites. Half of Russian troops are still in training anyway.
