Apparently witnesses said when Gadhafi was caught he screamed in indignation "What have I done to you? What have I done to your?", but his voice was drowned in "Allahu Akbar".
Can't say I'm surprised at this revelation, maybe this is a deal the white house made so the muslims don't undo their puppet governments the moment they leave.

OBL is different. As a combatant in the ongoing UN sactioned afghan war he could beseen as a justfied target. thus freeing themselves of the demands required of in civilian justice.
There have been precedents, eg Yamamoto, Heydrich.

In fact what constitutes a war situation should be totally redefined to take in certain types of terrorist activities.

And now the west is acting "uuups, we never guessed our rebels would massacre people".
Of course they do, if they would not massacre and terrorize those in favor of Ghadaffi, they would be thrown out as soon as Nato is somewhere else.

Also, after stuff like Ustica the US/west really should not put itself on a high horse regarding Ghadaffis terrorism.

People forget that the Taliban started as a popular movement as well. The true test of democracy is not in the first election, but in the second.

Dont assume that Islamists in Tunisa will be like Taliban. I been to Tunisia twice, I am 100 percent sure that wont happen.

The country thats in danger is Libya. The French, British and allies hated Gaddafi so much, but ignored elements like Al Qeada. The best bet for AQ is Libya, they cant take over say Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan, but Libya is very weak ran by no one. The NTC only controls a small area, contary to what they say.

I agree being an Islamist doesn't automatically mean you are the Taliban.
