there plan to keep their fighter jets alive is to, fly them back and forth, good idea if you expect China not to use fighter jets and if you expect China not to destroy air bases, what you need to take off, also they think if they pull back their planes away from China, they would surive, do they forgot that China would use fighter jets over the island or that China is aware of their plans? they say their ready but i dont think Taiwan is ready to fight the PLA. good for the PLA though.

The prudent assumption and the assumption I would always have is that they will fight on the same level as a very competent major non state actor, like Hezbollah. It's better to overestimate than to underestimate.

But in truth, the KMT already has a history of gross military incompetence, and it's hard to see that losing 95% of their territories would have had any positive impact on their military training and professionalism.
