This just shows JJ Abrams is a superficial creature.

JJ Abrams said his TV show Lost was inspired by Rod Serling's Twilight Zone. Just because it has a lot of abnormal weird stuff happening doesn't make it in the same company. I'm a fan of Rod Serling. Lost was no Twilight Zone. Here apparently the new Star Trek movie opens with the Enterprise crew saving a low-tech intelligent life form on a planet that's about to be destroyed by nature but they can't let the life forms know what they're doing because of the Prime Directive. JJ Abrams said he wasn't a Star Trek fan growing up. It's obvious. I'm a sci-fi fan in general and not particularly biased towards Star Trek but I know what the Prime Directive means. Because of the reboot there was talk of a Star Trek universe that had no Prime Directive and you would have a more brutal politically charged Star Trek universe. That would've been fun but of course JJ Abrams is like everyday people who hide behind a cause but don't really know what it's about. Maybe the described clip doesn't reveal a nice twist but it's JJ Abrams so I doubt it. I'll be watching the movie because like I've been known to watch bad TV shows just hoping it would get better. JJ Abrams track record is pretty bad when it comes to adapting already established concepts even though I thought the first one was all right. The villain is rumored to be Khan. Let's see if he ruins the best villian of the Star Trek movies.

I hope a lot of these actors are just blowing smoke. I read an article that Samuel L. Jackson wanted to return as Mace Windu. Even though more plausible since all you saw was him falling to his "death" they can manage to spin it. Sort of a pointless point in history that the Jedi were wiped out if all these "dead" Jedi are still around. Might as well show Boba Fett get coughed up by the Saarlac. Afterall it takes a thousand years to digest food.

They can bring them all back as the Great Jedi Ghost Council. A little bit of Stars Wars behind the scenes history Alec Ginuess was pissed about being killed in episode 4 I think Lucas's wife got Ginuess written back in as a ghost.

But who here is still urked when Lucas replaced the old man as ghot Anakin with frickin Hayden Christiansin in Ep 6?

I was at NYC ComicCon and they're working on a Robotech movie. Toby Macgyer is only producing according to the rep at the panel.

There has been talk of a lot of Japanese anime becoming Hollywood movies. Toby McGuire has been associated with Robotech back when Leonardo Decaprio was associated with Akira. Dicaprio dropped out of the project and has gone through several hands and it's in limbo. Robotech I would have to say it's been long enough to film the movie already and they haven't. Sounds like it's in limbo itself. When there were rumors of the movie Super 8, that was thought to be Voltron. Star Blazers rights have been with Disney a long time. I've read they wanted to turn it into the Dirty Dozen in space. I saw the Japanese live version that was made in recent years... It's a wonder how the Japanese can do great anime but suck in live action.

LOl...because in anime there is no requirement of human error in acting! The director and creator had already decided how their characters would react to every plots according the dialogue and the flow of the story therefore is not interrupted by bad acting.

The thing about mechs is they're not practical. They stand out like sore thumbs. Yeah if the enemy doesn't have a weapon that can pentrate the armor... who cares. But the reality is someone will always come up with a weapon that will penetrate that makes mechs moot.
