Yes.

The Original Star trek series is IMO the best Sci-Fi ever on Tv. I've seen the 79 episodes so many times I know much of the dialogue.

The best episode of the Original Star Trek series is IMO.."City on the Edge of Forever". A 33 year old Joan Collins was a co-star.

But silly Kirk, I would have saved the girl, and 'reinterpreted' her accident in a way to leave no body behind, so nobody would ask any questions, and just took her with me back to the future. The past is preserved and I get the girl. Everyone is a satisfied customer. :)

Harrison Ford is now up to return as Han Solo with script approval. Not sure how to take that because if Ford has a ego, he might want to have a big role. Ford was looking long in the tooth with the Indiana Jones Crystal Skull fiasco. Big mistake if the new ones center around the original cast.

If Harrison Ford is to come back, I think he will be playing a kind of Obi-Wan Kenobi character from Ep IV, in which case his advanced years may well be an asset.

Although I like your idea of a Han Solo story development, and previous in between episode, but I think the fans are ready for an ending and moving forward with the saga. Maybe when the final episode has been made, the Star Wars saga can always go back in time at a later date.

or make it tv series...

Here's the biggest problem with reliving the past when it comes to TV and movies... they eventually will violate what has been established before. For example, what was Han Solo like before he met up Luke and Leia and the gang? It sounds like he was a petty self-serving arrogant criminal.

cmon...
han solo is nothing more than a smuggler... maybe he bring weapon or even food and medicine into the rebel bases... that would make him sound like a hero, right ?
as a smuggler... maybe he dump his "product" when chased by bobba fett or empire's fleet, or even "borrow" his "friends" ship to excape...

but that doesnt make him a petty self-serving arrogant criminal...

Gosh, they're already planning that far ahead? If we go by the timeline of release of previous movies three years apart that's 18 years. But I'm assuming in the age of Twilight and Harry Potter, they might be planning to release these every year. It sort of worries me that completely new stories won't happen until the next trilogy. It means this coming first trilogy must be Luke, Han, Leia more involved. That should've been done back in the late 80s or 90s.

I don't know if how many people have heard of this movie, Pacific Rim, that's coming out next summer. It's about the world being ravaged by giant monsters and humanity has to create these giant mechs to deal with them. Of course it's based on Godzilla-type Japanese monster movies. Interesting thing is not sure if China was included and had one of these mechs from the beginning. Now they do. I've been hearing about this movie for about a couple years and saw the first released footage Comic Con last summer. I know that Guillermo Del Toro, the director, wasn't a fan of 3D and filmed this movie not using 3D cameras. In the past couple months it was announced this movie was going to be converted into 3D because of China. There was fanboy outrage at this news and then Del Toro had to come out publicly to say he okayed it and wasn't the studio overriding him.

Did you attend the Comic-Con in San Diego? My second oldest son always attends...of course he lives there.

Looks like a leave your brain at the door movie I'd enjoy.

They might as well make the Gundham series if they're going with this project IMO. More anime sci-fi fans are more familiar with the Gundham story lines than this ginormous type monster movie.

Yeah I've gone there as a professional for the last six years. It's a huge movie/TV and comics mecca spectacular for those that have never been there. And you get a lot of free crap. If I didn't work with a production company I don't know how I would ever get in. The passes for the next Comic Con literally sell out a month after the last one closes. There's a huge line during Comic Con about a half a mile long just to buy passes for the next one. The last one my friend and I spent seven hours in line just to get into the big hall where the big movie panels and announcements are made. In that time I could've almost driven from San Francisco to San Diego.
