Captain
does prototype have subsystems installed already? or it is just a shell ?
That depends on which prototype. The last prototype usually has full sub system installed, similar to production batch 00 or batch 01. The first prototype is usually nearly bare except sensors for speed, heights and some basic sub-system.

2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th prototypes will have increasingly more sub-system installed as the flight tests progress.

Posting it here too from SPF, this is my theory/take on the J-XD-S' IWB and the groove.

Its IWB could be not exactly conventional and completely rectangular, but rather the centre part being slightly longer and deeper relative to the other parts of the IWB to compensate for the groove, kinda like the Chinese character "中" when viewed from the belly. So the IWB doors split at the centreline of the groove but as part of the groove structure when closed. The sides are still around the length of the J-20/35's IWB.

Like this (obviously, length, shape, serrations isn't accurate but you get the general idea. It could also just purely extend out from the back and uniform at the front but that might take up some engine bay space):

Original image courtesy of @Nx4eu. Only the red markings are mine. The red outlines are a whole piece (obviously splitting from the middle and hinging on either side's IWB part-door like the ones on the F-22/J-20/35 except just longer in the middle).

Carrying and lobbing multiple PL-17s obviously isn't its main job, but I think it makes sense doctrinally for it to carry just one or two of them to enhance its air superiority capabilities.

How many PL15 can this fighter carry?

I'm guessing 2x PL-17 and 4 x PL-15/16 makes the most sense. Have we got anything tangible to show if the J-50 will have sidebays for SRAAMs?

Also, as a general question, some days ago Hurin from X hinted (no doubt based on chinese fora talk) that the next generation of AAMs, no doubt intended for J-36 and J-50, will have revolutionary propulsion. What kind of propulsion that could be?
