I think he might still be getting arrested :p
To be someone that close to the plane he must be someone inside the loop, and I don't think he's even supposed to bring a camera/phone there.
No, I am not inside the loop. If you live in Shenyang, you know. Planes fly above people's head all the time. It's just that people don't care/don't take pictures(me)/ don't post it online.

This kind of tease is unbearable for an aviation nerd. Considering how open is China now, inevitably there would have been "tourists" lurking around SAC and CAC and taking high resolution pictures. So whatever external details these aircraft have, they are probably hungrily disseminated already by the enemy. Hence little sense in not releasing such pictures to the general public, which will only serve positively as far as PR goes, i mean China is flying two of the most advanced combat aircraft ever built, ahead of everyone else. Perhaps if there are folks here with ties to chinese people in the know or even authorities you can make this point.

MSS agents are also lurking around SAC & CAC. :p

Aviation nerds around the globe would sell their soul to the devil to be in your shoes InfamousMeow.:D

Have you seen the cockpit, and perhaps a bort number on the side of the nose?
From my place, I can only see the underside of the planes, so definitely no cockpit sighting.

I would need a semi-decent recording device to actually see the serial number, if any number exists. But that would go against my winning strategy. So unfortunately no number sighting:(.

I am just here to share my excitement over my first spotting of the most advanced generation of fighter jet (last time was my first spotting of a green primer J35/A)and also my appreciation for the experiences of living somewhat near SAC test flight airport (It's awesome!!!:p). Unfortunately,I don't have and, most likely, won't have that level of detailed informations most military enthusiasts crave.

My personal endeavers for the next time would be: if all stars are aligned, I will have a hard and deep look into that cleavage of SAC 6-gen. Just to make sure that the cleavage won't fuck up the underside aesthetics of that plane. As where it stands now, the belly is absolutely gorgeous;).

Congrats on living the dream man, and hope you get to have many a look into J-50s cleavage (or J-35s for that matter). And if in the future you have anything exciting/interesting to share that doesn't go against your winning strategy, looking forward to it.:)

What does it all mean? Is there a groove or not? If so how deep? And aren't you more likely to get into trouble for buying an Apple phone than for photographing a top secret warplane in China these days?
