That host looks like an idiot. Holy cow how can you wear that, where's our facepalm smiley?

As for the claim... I don't quite trust phoenix tv on these matters. I think they've screwed up quite a few times in the past with the "H-8" and the like.
IF a VTOL jet called J-18 was testing like they claim we'd have heard of it before them.

i never knew why he wear like that neither. and he's fat, so he looks more like a doofus.

Rumours, drawings, postulations flying thick and fast...exciting times but hopefully we get more concrete news. cant believe i'm saying this but one stealth aircraft at a time please lol

As an audience to this TV program, I've never cared or paid attention to how he dresses. Maybe his program is a military program so he wants to dress himself like a military personnel to get more impression, who knows. In fact I care more about what he reports. As a TV program that shows once per week, I don't think there is enough news for him to report. So, some rumors and speculation come into his program.

Not sure about the J-18 though as reports said that the plane is now in Chengdu as well. Programme is in Chinese.

Either way, the plot is thickening... the diagram seems to have cut most of the front of the plane off, and the weapons bay looks like its holding the tail section of 4 large bombs, 500 kg class I think. Not a bad payload -- four 500kg PGMs and the two side bays for SRAAMs. Eagle also says a new engine called "WS-17" will be built for this striker.

It might be a different stealthy strike fighter, but it seems to be based on the JH-7A.

But seriously, internal weapons bays?

What's wrong with that...? Clearly there are two trains of thought to the JH-7B at the moment -- one is that it is merely a slightly stealthified JH-7, the other is that it is an entirely new aircraft only given a "B" designation.
