Judging from the photo, there's something I feel strange whether it's a serious thing or simply a theme park mockup.
1st - There is no canopy. As someone mention earlier, a mockup should have no problem to install the canopy
2nd - No engine. Similar as above. If it is a mockup, there should only be nozzles but not engines. So there should be nothing that can be removed at that part
3rd - Main wings are installed. Real aircraft when transport in that manner usually have their main wings removed so that they wouldn't be too wide.
4th - The "thing" was installed on the truck in a slant position which mean it has no landing gear / retracted. I even doubt it has full weight of an aircraft.

1st and 2nd points support that it is a serious "thing" while the 3rd and 4th points reject that. My conclusion, wait and see.

I remember reading that China's large wind tunnel groups are in the mountains, that probabaly means Sichuan province, where Chengdu is located.

Do theme park attraction require closed expressway/toll booth, PLAAF escort, local police escort, and PAP SWAT guard when the vehicle is stationary? If it's a model for the theme park or just a mock up then there is even more reasons to remove the wings for easy transportation. My take is that it's designed or assembled in a goofy way which made it impossible or difficult to remove the wings for transportation.

The Service area at Renjiu(任丘), Hebei was sealed for this convoy, and it looks like tomorrow they will enter Henan. For this reason, now people claims the thingy is on its way to Yanliang, Shaanxi instead of Tianjin.

It seems a design with two-engine :-| : less space compared to F35 for weapons and fuel tank. Complete version could be longer though!
Since it is very short I think this is a theme park mockup not in 100% scale.
