According to several witnesses, there are two other heavy trucks loaded with large unidentified objects in the convoy. As we speak now, they already passed Hengshui Lake, Hebei(way south of Tianjin).
BTW, Deino, this is an old photo, I posted it in #480 :p

I guess it's a deliberate decision not to cover it up more moving through busy expressways.
So we can expect J20 style 'live' coverage when it flies in a couple of months ?

no engine.
no landing gear.
no cockpit glass.
no stabilizers.

a shape and size that we've never seen before in the PLAAF arsenal when compared to other planes.
Could this truely be a new, distinct airframe?

:) .

About point number 3:
p.aspx

Guys, this is an F-22 being loaded and tow onto a truck. You can tell by the three stripes (Red, White, and Blue) on its top vertical stabilizer. Another clue is look at the blurry image of that flag on the guard house, it's an American flag.

No-one said that's something from SAC, I think it was only an example of a similar (once) new type being transported by road.

Anyway, I still don't understand, why the move to Tianjin ???
Does anyone know if there some kind of special inditute, test facility, university out there ... and even more specialised for "things" which can't be done at SAC itself ??

Or is there a special event, a celebration, congress, anniversary or anything similar near Tianjin, wherea new fighter might be shown for the first time ???

Actually I don't get it ?

Hi Deino
According to the current location of the convoy, you will find out Tianjin is not the destination anymore. That's the reason so many guys on Weibo claim that Yanliang is the final stop for this "thingy"(which really make sense since they are on G45 Da Guang Expy now). Based on that claim, maybe it's not only a mock-up, do you agree? But the bad news is, if they decide to do everything in Yanliang, then we will not able to see new photos in the next few months...

No, it is transported to Yanliang for static test, just passed by Beijing-Tianjin expressway. Someone from CDF find photos of F35 doing exactly the same thing, LOL.
